SR match rifle primer left in production?

This will go down as the best kept secret in firearms history. The fact that it has not been reported in any local news outlet that I could find or the Washington Post is amazing. Seems like some sort of bankruptcy court filing would have taken place and the left/wing media would be all over it!
We can only hope they were just kidding. A few of the ones i know there have put in for jobs with my company. It would really suck for remington if all their employees left like theyre trying to do

Remington hasnt been a player in any market theyre in in many years.
I find that almost laughable , Dusty . So how come I have had to drive all over freakin Phoenix for the last two years to find any 7-1/2's , if Rem doesn't have any market . This is ; after-all the heart of American F-class . Got so bad , the girls at Bruno's would hold at least one box for me , CAUSE NOBODY LIKES THOSE JUNK REM PRIMERS ! Who are you trying to kid ? Rem 7-1/2's disappear as fast as they got put up . I finally had to contact a out-of-state supplier to get some . And now I have to do all my load development all over again , for the second time . THIS SUCKS !

I guess youre the guy using them! I havent seen them at a br match on anybodys table in my 25yrs. I do know how many they produce and their biggest customer is remington. Thats their first priority kinda like j4 jackets being made into berger bullets.

Switched to them after O-BOZO took away my S&B's . Just got finished doing all my load development for all my TR loads . But they have never stayed on the shelf very long in any store here . We could shoot a SWN with only Arizona shooters filling the ranks . Or real close to it .

They are one of the highest ranked primers in the world , according to the primer tests Laurie did a couple years ago . My SD's were usually around 6.5 /7 when I had them . Most consistent primer I ever used . My loads like them .

Realizing that every rifle is unique, I found the Rem. 7 1/2 primers to consistently be the least accurate across multiple loads and rifles

I've never used a 7 1/2 but would have tried them. I use S&B in my .223 trainers for steel shooting. My go to primers are the CCI 450's.

Hmmmm. But, also, other than the 7 1/2's, the cheapest is the smallest. Do you think that's just the result of the sample size?

Corporate raiders didn’t have a thing to do with any of this but I guess we need a boogie man.

Without being argumentative, I disagree to the extent that the Rem was bought, sold and managed for the buck by money manager types. Loans, leveraged, borrowed. Failure in a time of plenty. Tons of info out on this. Not "corporate raiders" ala T.Boone Pickens but plundered none the less. We agree on that ??

Right. I'm familiar with Chapter 7 and Chapter 11. My question was: Is Remington operating in bankruptcy? [And, yes, it can't be chapter 7].

Chapter 11 is a protection from creditors/bankruptcy. So they're not bankrupt aka in liquidation (yet). It gives time for the company and stakeholders to restructure the company. Portions (or all) of the business can continue to operate. No doubt portions of the company and its operations will survive the restructuring. If making primers was a profitable business you can be sure it will be resurrected in some form. If not, it won't be back.
