I see that they are now jump tolerant. We are in the midst of a bullet seating test of said bullet in a 300 H&H. Rem M721 magazine length dictates at least 120 thou off'n the lands. Best group was 155 thou off the lands, 4 shots into 0.621 inches at 100 yds.
Just trying to get ahead of wasting the expensive copper rockets.......thanksDepends entirely upon your rifle!
My Savages like it 0.005-0.010" off the lands.
My Ruger in 280 Rem likes them 0.060" off.
Shoot your groups & find out.
Not the best thing to do for a hunting rifle.I load them .020" into the lands in my 280ai.

THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY GO TO BULLET IN A 300 WIN MAG BUT I'M OLD SCHOOL RL-22 FOR ME NICE GROUPAlthough it is not a VLD bullet I’m shooting the 185 juggernaut from burger out of my 300 win Mag View attachment 1194954 the best seating depth for me was .010 jump
If "into the lands" isn't jammed, i don't know what is.Not good if they're jammed into the rifling. But 0.020" in the lands doesn't mean they're jammed.

Could still end up with powder in the action and a bullet stuck in the barrel.
It's pretty simple really , once you start loading your own you will understand quickly . A quick session using the "stripped bolt" method will teach you all you need to know.Headschratcher!!!
