7mm Berger 168 VLD vs 168 Hybrid

I have been shooting 168 VLD hunting in my 7mm Mag since I got the custom barrel put on. It is very accurate but I get the odd flyer and I cant seem to eliminate them. So I thought I would try the Hybrids in 168. I had read that they were more forgiving and many say the Hybrids are very accurate.
I have a Berger book 1st edition but there are not load data for the hybrids. I believe the hybrids came out long after the 1st edition was printed. So I measured my chamber for the Hybrids and set a .015s jump using the same charge of 7828 ssc that I used with the VLDs.
Way over pressure. So I dropped back 1.5 gr still over pressure and lost almost 200 fps. So I pushed the bullets in a little deeper thinking I may be jammed which I don't believe I was as they chambered fine. Still over pressure. Several times I had gone on line to try to find accurate load data with no results.
Long story short the Hybrids grouped excellent and same poi at 200.
Have any of you loaded 168 Hybrids using 7828ssc? If so where did you find the load data?

I should add the rifle is a Tikka with a custom 27" barrel with a muzzle break.

Berger doesn't make any 7mm 168 Hybrids. maybe you're referring to their 7mm 168 Classic Hunter ???
Yes. The box reads "Classic Hunter" then on the 2ed line ".566 G1 BC .290 G7 BC HYBRID"
Part # 28570

So any idea why the spike in pressure going from the VLD to the Classic Hunter/Hybrid?

I've used both of these bullets in my 7mm/08 and never had this problem, but the loads were on the moderate side. There is more bearing length on the classic hunter than the vld style bullet. This could be what would spike your pressure when using max loads with the vld then switching to the hybrid. Just a though.

I was just comparing the two bullets thinking the same thing and your right the classic hunter does have considerably more baring length then the VLD's. I did send out a email to Berger and they basically said the same load data can be used for the classic hunter that is listed for the VLD of the same weight. (then went on to say start low and work up, which I did with the VLD hunting with no issues). But as I stated I had a dangerously high pressure in the three I shot using the same load. And its not a max listed load.
