Agreed, the Remington brand/TM is probably their most valuable asset. The patent rights in their most iconic products have probably expired so anyone acquiring just the TM rights could probably duplicate them without legal consequence. Let’s hope that a viable buyer appears, if only to cherry pick assets from a liquidation sale.Reminds me of the story of Moto Guzzi, a motorcycle manufacturer out of Italy (of which I own one, a Griso and love it). The tag line is: Moto Guzzi, going out of business for 80 years. The Remington brand is far too valuable for them to exit the planet. They will continue. Under better or worse management but they will continue.
