My first black rifle

Willing to be open-minded is the key !
For me it's "Supper" not Dinner.
"Dinner" is at noon.
I'm not changing it to suit others.
There !

Hang in there young feller. Kinda like I have a box of "bullets".

Strange as I asked some older shooters at the range today about this. 100% agreement.A clip holds ammo and is removable from the gun. A magazine is built into the gun, not removable and can even be a tube-like structure.

So... grab your lever Winchesters and and Marlins. Load some shells in those magazine tubes and let's get those verbal rustlers.

Chuckle chuckle chuckle

I got the EOTech XS2. Love it. It’s on a 10.5 inch .300BO. I’ve got 4, the standard 5.56, .300BO carbine, .300BO pistol, and a long range 6.5 Grendel (no step on snek lower). You’ll be addicted soon enough.

Black? You don't need "no" stinking' black rifle. Make a brown one.

I use this "single-shot" one for 600 yard steel competition against other gas guns. Replace the single-shot follower with a normal clip and it is normal again. Now this is not a light-weight "spray and prey" carbine so of course, you cannot have just one.

My other one is a black carbine with green/red 1X dot sight.

Eww you guys and your single colors...so baaaasic ;)

The actual definition as I have been taught is:

1) Clip, a device that holds ammunition that is ejected either during loading (Stripper Clip) or self ejects after firing the last round (Enbloc Clip for M1 Garand).

2) Magazine, is a device that holds ammunition that is inserted into the firearm and is retained until removed by the operator, either by releasing the catch (Magazine) or disassembly of the firearm (Magazine Well).

Sounds like we got a bunch of anti gunners in this thread. Not knowing the difference between a clip and a magazine?? A clip is the thingy that holds bullets and makes a ping sound and a magazine is a 30 round machine gun drum for ghost guns.

Well you were taught partially wrong.

Now what do you call the part under the bolt in an action like a Remington 700, Model 70 Winchester or say a Savage 99?

In those and mega other cases they are called the magazine. None of them are removable. A clip is removable either by action of the rifle, like a Grand, or by action of the operator who releases it and removes the clip.

My 3 Sons each have one with White Oak Armament uppers with Shilen barrels, and Stiller Predator lowers with GEISSELE TRIGGERS. One of my Grandsons has the same components except a Milazzo-Krieger trigger. Mine was put together by John Holiger at White Oak as a legal Service Rifle. I used an Elftmann trigger. I have a 30MM Leupold 1 1/2-4 1/2 power.Waiting on my Wife's upper from Nez Rongero "Bamban". It will have a used competition barrel shortened to 16 inches and will have a green laser. I still need to get her a good trigger.
Rusty Stud has loaded several thousand rounds for us.
Butch, I was curious if the Shilen barrels is what White Oak uses as their standard barrel or if you had to order them as a custom package?

Looks like you had to grease it to get into that spot. Nice fit job.
What do you use to finish the cut out? Is that a paint?

This.

Standard WOA barrels are Wilson, John H will put any barrel you wish. He has Shilen, KBI, and others.

Or maybe folks are not so petty that have to act like children over simple words that everyone understands ? Anti-gunners is funny, more like anti- "know it all petty little fellas" .
