What kind of LaRue is it that you like? I’m needing to buy one. The one that came with my AR reminds me of a staple gun!!!You will love the LaRue trigger. I have used them all, jewel, giessle, compass lake and the others. The LaRue simply amazed me at 80 bucks. Have been replacing the match triggers in my AR's with the LaRue.
My 3 Sons each have one with White Oak Armament uppers with Shilen barrels, and Stiller Predator lowers with GEISSELE TRIGGERS. One of my Grandsons has the same components except a Milazzo-Krieger trigger. Mine was put together by John Holiger at White Oak as a legal Service Rifle. I used an Elftmann trigger. I have a 30MM Leupold 1 1/2-4 1/2 power.Waiting on my Wife's upper from Nez Rongero "Bamban". It will have a used competition barrel shortened to 16 inches and will have a green laser. I still need to get her a good trigger.
Rusty Stud has loaded several thousand rounds for us.

Butch, your lovely wife's upper is next. I had to finish this for a young LT. at Benning. It took some work to get that folding sight inside the handguard and clearanced all the way around inside it.
It will be optics with back up iron sight (BUIS)

Replace the single-shot follower with a normal clip and it is normal again.
OK, I give up, what is a normal clip?
A "normal" clip is a standard AR 15 clip that holds ammo in it. The clip device I use does NOT hold anything. It is just a pocket that you lay a single cartridge in. Close the bolt and after ejection, the device holds it open and waiting for the next cartridge to be dropped in for loading. It makes an AR a single shot with no hassle of ammo in a clip and no need to jam a single shot into a clip and then removing it after each shot.
For benchrest shooting it is the answer. The other part of the answer is a swing- out case catcher so that you can access your loading port after each shot.
This rifle has a double spring trigger set about 10 oz. It also sports a custom RAS tuner brake made just for this. The barrel is an 8 twist ( kind of wish i had done a 7-7.5) a bit heavier and longer than normal. It can be used with a normal clip for the bang, bang spray stuff if you choose. I do not choose and have another rifle for that crap.
Thought you guys were smart and knew everything.

No reason to argue.
Called the "magazines" in my old Winchester 69 22's "5 shot clips" back in the 1950's. Still have and use two of them. My Garands had clips, Still have them and the clips. All my Remington 760's had clips. Still have some and the clips. Even had an old 16 gauge bolt shotgun with a clip. Most all the clips were less than 10 shot capacity. Most often they were/are 5 shot.
Seems that for decades when referring to a large capacity - like 10-30 or more - the word "magazine" was more appropriate. Actually you could run a series of ammo clips out of a large ammo can or magazine.
I have zero negative connotation associated with the word "clip". 75 plus years for me they were and still are "clips". No politics involved.
