Official Gun Pix 'Pride & Joy' Thread

Years ago I originally settled on the Stiller SS F-Class single shot action (Viper) and ordered twins, but I had missed the production window and those actions were not to materialize, ever again as far as I know.

Sometimes though, a plan change can be a good thing. After a long wait, I formed Plan B. The Surgeon XL was designed to be an overbuilt .338 LM repeater, even with a big rectangular cut out.

Without a cut out, the 4.5 pound single shot XL shoots Fclass rounds like a 700 shoots .22 Hornets.

I have them as originally made in Oklahoma, and more recently Arizona, with three sizes of bolt faces. I always felt my two juniors were especially safe behind these.

Purchased 40 yrs ago from a WW2 vet, his father was a supervisor at the armory and this was his retirement gift.
Unissued rifle, I have taken many South TX bucks with it, shoots great , has a beautiful trigger.

Got my latest build up and running...300WSM - never shot one before today and I have to say while the recoil is on the sharp side, it's entirely manageable thanks to the stock design and front rest. The particulars for this rifle is as follows:

Stock - McMillan Kestros ZR with RAD II system. Colour is 70% black, 15% grey, 15% red
Action - Borden BRMXD, left bolt, right port, left eject, 20 moa rail and the action is fully DLC coated
Trigger: TriggerTech Diamond
Barrel: Krieger 10 twist, 4 groove finished at 31" with an Ezell barrel tuner
Scope: March HM 10-60x56 with MTR-1 reticle, illuminated, sitting in a set of high ARC rings

Rifle comes in with 500 grams to spare, so the next barrel will probably finish at 32".

I saw the yard and I said that has to be Australia.

Beautiful rifle.

This started off as a Rem 700 VTR in .308. Now I'm not sure what it is... it hunts deer, it shoots steel at 1K, but really it looks like it has an identity crisis. I just wanted to have 1 rifle to do everything that I need.

Rem 700 action
Proof SS 22" barrel
Griffin Armament Bushwhacker 46 can
KRG Bravo Chassis (rattle can grey/green Kryptek because why not)
Bushnell 2-12x44
Innorel RT-90c tripod and ball head

My new (to me) 22-250AI. Had it for last 6 months but only just got out for a spotlight at a farm 2 nights ago. It dropped its first lot of feral game quite easily. Otherwise its been getting a workout at the local F-Class and Sporting Shooters range I'm a member off.

Its 1st Sporter/Hunter Class Club Competition was at 900m and it managed a double possible (50.5V & 50.6V for total of 100.11V) Sporter/Hunter is a new class here in Australia for new shooters to get a taste of long range shooting alongside F-Class and Fullbore shooters. I'm normally shooting a 7SAUM in F-Open but shoot the Sporter/Hunter class at club level for some fun.

Specs:
Trued Howa 1500
Krieger Med Palma 26in 1-8T in 22-250AI
Manners MCS-T5A
Nightforce NXS 8-32x56 MOART in TPS TSR Rings on a NF 20MOA Rail

Very impressive. I'm curious what weight of bullet you are shooting to get that distance. I know nothing of this cartridge, but it is on my list of possible future coyote gun, though I'm yet to research.

I'm running 80gr Berger VLD. I use them for target and steel work. If I'm shooting feral game, its 55gr Nosler BT at the moment.

This is my rifle and my rattle can paint job with bondo over the rail and check piece.....updated 1/8/2021 with final product, not perfect, but good enough for now, just pay @Bc'z to do this for you, I sanded and sanded many times and it still has many issues

GA Precision did the work and their action, RBLPLE

6 creed w/ Krieger 1:7 for 115’s
