I have a good friend whom has had 2 barrels chambered and they both have copper fouled something terrible. 1 shot and it looks like a copper mine. The throat has been polished to remove any chatter or tooling marks so it’s not happening from there. His first barrel he had put roughly 200 rounds down it and it just would not stop fouling. So it got sent back and a new one arrived. He had it chambered up and same story it just won’t break in and stop laying down copper. He cut it off chambered with a different reamer and still same thing.
What are we missing? This isn’t normal for a well name brand barrel company. Any advice I can pass on to him would be helpful.
