Stop and think for a minute, it is not just Canada that has this problem. Many other countries, lately, and the USA have come up with or out with changes in gun laws and ammunition laws that do nothing to hinder the criminal, but they sure do the legal and lawful citizen's that want to own and use firearms and buy ammunition for their hunting and target shooting.
And every time a person is killed, even if it does not involve a gun, there are more calls from politicians for more gun control.
We all have a problem and it is spreading, as anti gun people and the politicians come up with new ideas.

I'm trying to think of any country that has had this much unjust hypocrisy on a scale of such magnitude that didn't end up in armed conflict.

I am from Canada and ya it has it's good points but nowadays Guns aren't one of them. When i was a Teen growing up in the early 80's i used to pack my .22 LR on my dirt bike, ride right down the pavement and go shooting ground squirrels. Never thought nothing of it. Try that now and it would be all over. Canada does have a problem right now and that problem is Liberals. They are turning this country into Canadumb and they have caused massive damage. Eastern voters allowed the silver spoon fed imbecile part time drama teacher to be re elected and continue the pussification of this country.

All over the world people also said the goverment will never tell us what to do and when we are allowed to go out and do our business. Currently Im not even allowed to buy a beer (to go and drink in my own house) or drive around after 20:00. Good times, all we need is one fkmuppet to come up with a reason that CV19 can spred with gunpowder in the air, o but lucky that wont affect me now because im not allowed to leave my house

Seems like the man behind the curtain (Many of our politicians) are now finding out the right will go along...till it doesnt, and we get pissed. CNN featured Stillwater OK. Seems citizens "threatened store emplyees" because the citizens were being told to wear masks. Some threatened violence. While I dont condone that, it is interesting that after about a paragraph of chastizing and pontificating, the mayor backed down and "strongly suggested" masks. Must be the locals knew where he lived.....

So far they are not on the list, but we've already been told there will be more bans coming likely. Kind of ironic, seeing as it is a rifle that was actually used in war, while the scary black guns - AR15 in particular, to my knowledge has never been used by any army.

Now there has been a leak from a supposed Liberal employee that is a gun owner, that their next steps my be centralized storage, as well as some type of magazine limits.

Not surprisingly I suppose, but there seems to be strong support from the non-gun-crowd. It is quite obvious when engaging these people online that they no nothing about Canadian laws. After quite a long back and forth with a 60 year old woman this morning she finally understood that Canada doesn't actually have fully automatic rifles, her quote to me was "it seems like I've been mislead by the newspaper article." Not surprisingly the article was from the CBC.

This is going to an uphill battle.
