I suppose that we should not be surprised at the propaganda spread by the left who are all singing from the same song book.
New Zealand aint doing that well! Having a raft of firearm legislation rushed through parliament without proper consultation and select committee stages stacked with anti's we were forced to sell our self loaders to the government. We currently have another "buy back" for pump action rifles and pistol carbines (although, some can be kept and registered if you have a pistol licence). Yesterday, the Police released another draft of changes to dealer licencing, and firearm security, which would require serial numbers on pretty much all gun parts, including rifle chassis and bolts. Registration of ammunition purchases ( do these need serial numbers too?) and rules for carrying you rifle in a car. All this is supposed to lead to firearm registration in 2023.
But firearm law changes are only the tip of the iceberg for these Marxist thinkers. The banning of fossil fuelled car imports from 2025, government control of water, and this week has seen changes to housing laws, removing tax relief from mortgage interest for landlords and property speculators. Alongside a Capital Gains tax by stealth, forcing taxation on house sales within 10 years of ownership on second homes and investment properties.
We are flooded with the Democrat racist nonsense, told daily that all whites are racist. Ministers have called firearms owners "white supremacists" in parliament.
Meanwhile, violent crime seems to increase.
To say that so far, all our government initiatives and policies have been failures, election promises cancelled and please God, New Zealanders come to their senses and send these idiots packing at the next election. But the damage will have been done and all may not be recoverable.
