Good priming tool----with tray

Yes. I have one of the first ones. Wasnt many more after that. I believe they fought with the quality of the typical lee parts and finally gave up. Maybe @Petros284 can get another run made because everybody should be lucky enough to own one
Wish we could make a run of them especially tough now with being shut down. We’re focused on current and some new items coming out once we return back to shop. Maybe we’ll look into a tray or bench top tool in the future!

I am still using one of the OLD Lee hand primers. I wore out one and one popped the top off the part that holds the shell holders. Now working with my 3rd one in 40 YEARS. I bought a RCBS hand primer as a back up. Problem with it is you have to use RCBS shell holders with it. Lee will not work because it does not have a bevel on the bottom of the hole. Also if you want to change from one size primer to the other it takes a lot more fiddling than the with the Lee.

I might as well chime in!... I agree with Dusty on this. I have two of the original 21st century that used the old round lee primer plates and there by far my favorite ones to use! I have Lee, Hornaday and rcbs and there is no comparison,... it’s a Mercedes compared to a geo metro!... For my br rifles I have a single feed 21st century and a Sinclair and there both top notch! And I can prime 50 cases as fast as I want to.

You can go on MidwayUSA and Cabela's and other web sites to see the reviews of various makes and models. Also, what shell holders they use and what they look like.

For example, most of them look like they are for right handers. The Frankford Arsenal Platinum looks like you could use your left hand without crossing over with the right hand. I'm right handed but use the left hand for hand priming, holding the steering wheel, and using computer mice.

The Frankford Arsenal primer tool is decent. I was skeptical but it's better quality than the RCBS or Lee. I use it now for everything but my BR cases
I have the FA and other than an annoying tendency to double feed and lock up, I’m happy with it.

If it didn’t double feed, I’d give it a 9/10. But the double feed is such a problem I can’t give it more than 6/10.

I have that same issue with the RCBS and have found my consistency in handling is what causes the double feed. The FA is a little better quality than the RCBS and is more comfortable in my hand.

I would rate the RCBS as 6/10 and the FA 7/10. The K&M Gauge is a 9/10 but it is too slow for anything other than when BR level accuracy is needed.

I probably have had the best experience with my original Lee Autoprime in terms of speed and consistency. I only quit using it because BR2s in Lapua cases are tight and the Lee doesn't have enough leverage for that application.

I really wish someone made a Sinclair, K&M, or Century 21 quality primer seating tool with a tray.......

I bought the Lee Auto Prime with the Circular Tray when they first came out . This was so long ago that I don't remember the details exactly . In those days , we used to make yearly Pdog Treks out West and used to load up a ton of Rounds per Trip . Darn Lee wore out in a few hundred primings . I wrote to Lee suggesting several improvements . Never heard back from them , but shortly thereafter I heard they were offering "improved" parts . I ordered some ( I think they were maybe a buck apiece or so ) . Anyway , one of the parts was a Steel Connecting Rod ...... the thing that is Banjo shaped . The original was some kind of junk metal . I don't remember what other parts I ordered . However , that re-built Priming Tool has done way over 10,000 Cases . Recently , someone ( I think on this Site ) who was a Benchrest Shooter ..... mentioned that Grizzly Tool had a super close-out Price on a Bench mounted ( single Primer ) Tool which has adjustable Primer Depth adjustment . I have not used it yet , but it looks like Rolls Royce quality . Don't know if it's still on Special .
