priming tool recomendation

i need another priming tool, lost the parts for my hornady hand tool when i moved. my uncle has a lee auto prime 2 press mounted tool but doesnt look like those are made any more. Anyone have any recomendations, and i need something with a primer tray. thanks

If you liked the Hornady, why not just order the necessary parts from Hornady?

I sure like my Hornady hand priming tool. A good tray fed unit.

Hate the new Lee hand priming tools.

No more primer tools with trays for me. Imagine 20 or 30 primers going off in your face. Sure.... The chances are slim, but it has happened. (not to me fortunately).

I use the one at a time Sinclair for large primers and the better 21st Century primer tool for small primers.

Yes, these tools are slower than tray devices, but I like them much better.

I use the priming tools from 21st century shooting, both the Tray type and the single.

I use the tray type to quickly insert my primers, then go back over with the Stainless Benchrest seater, it has adjust for depth of .0025" (2.5Thou) per click of the head...

Some people say why bother, well, if you go to the trouble of uniforming your pockets and flash hole, why not seat your primers to a known depth also?

+1 on the 21st Century single primer tool. Used the Lee Auto-prime, both old and new versions, and got tired of breaking the plastic corner tabs off of the trays. Don

I got away from the hand tools and now use a RCBS bench mounted tool for everything. Holds a hundred primers in the tube, is fast, still has some feel, and I can see no difference in results.

RCBS APS priming tool. Got one for Large one for small, couldn't be happier. I bet the 21st is nice tool but it would been to slow for me. Accuracy wise it won't make one bit of difference what tool u use provided you seat them all the way.

Must have stolen this idea off Glen Zediker. Think his reason is because of trouble using his Sinclair i.e. age.No complaints just using the priming arm off the Redding Turret press and the thumb test to finish for safety.

I was looking as 21st century primers, if they made the tray models out of SS i would have ordered one. I just ordered a bunch of their ss shell holders to try.

Definately agree with Charlie on the 21st Century primer tool. Having used and now pitched about half a dozen others in the dumpster..... the 21st Century is now the only one in my reloading room. Great feel, adjustable, easy to change over from large to small primers, and sturdily made. WD
