I just ordered a sako trg 42 in 338 lapua so I need to get dies and a bigger press then the hornady lnl progressive I currently use. Is there a reason not to get the L.E Wilson in-line kit? Everything I read about the L.E. Wilson in-line kit sounds great. I already have a few in-line seaters that I could use the arbor press for as well. I do like the idea of seating at the range.
Why not use L.E. Wilson in-line sizing dies?

I certainly like my f/l (308) very smooth with minimum sizing and runnout is a non issue for me.

It’s a 338 lapua. I’m going from loading 100 rounds for a range trip to 50 from a financial stand point. So time wise I don’t care if it takes twice as long. My impression is that the best shooters like L.E. Wilson but since they don’t charge $250 plus people don’t talk about them when they discuss the best.

Who doesnt talk about them- theres not a seater die post on here that they dont win the popular vote. I dont think youll see many in the 338lm size mentioned though. And make sure when you talk about a wilson kit that its not a neck sizer for an arbor press theyre kinda known for. Make sure its a threaded fl sizing die and youll be fine

He said “kit” and that jogged my memory to not many years ago they sold a fitted yellow box with an arbor press bushing neck die with decapping base and one of their inline seater dies. I was just making him aware. I know they started making fl bushing dies recently like the one you showed. Thats the style he needs especially for the LM

Your correct dusty. I failed to notice the “kit” included a neck sizer and not a full length sizer. I definitely want a full length sizer.

Yes very good. I used a redding fl bushing die on mine until i got a whidden made. With a cip standard reamer the redding worked just as well.
