Why not use L.E. Wilson in-line sizing dies?

It’s a 338 lapua. I’m going from loading 100 rounds for a range trip to 50 from a financial stand point. So time wise I don’t care if it takes twice as long. My impression is that the best shooters like L.E. Wilson but since they don’t charge $250 plus people don’t talk about them when they discuss the best.

I think we miscommunicated. I said that it doesn't take any longer, so there is no downside and a grate deal of upside if you also get a Hydro Seater Press

What does the hydro seater press offer that a standard arbor does not?

It measures actual seating force in PSI and rounds loaded with similar seating force seat more consistently and seem to group a little better, at least in a LR BR rifle.

I could see that being desirable in a LR hunting rifle.

My findings as well using a K&M with force restoration. When I was breaking into lr br my friends I shoot with in Montana was very giving with information helping me along. Tom Mousel the Anderson brothers Alex Wheeler Jack Peterson Donovan Moran and many others helped me along. The two single biggest things that shrank my groups loading wise was taking care of my necks properly and using the K&M sorting in groups of ten the same seating force!... that alone took my groups from 7” and 8” 10 shot groups to 5” and 6” groups!.... I never got to there level of perfection but was happy with my results.

LOL!!! those are the right friends to "help you along":)

Greetings,
Where does the calibrated elbow come into this function?? I use both a Rockchucker and an arbor press. My match ammo gets the Wilson in-line seater. Period.

I have the Wilson fl bushing die for my 6 dasher using the Redding bushings. It is fantastic, it is very similar to my 6ppc Redding type s bushing die.

I think it would be a great die for the .338.

He said “kit” and that jogged my memory to not many years ago they sold a fitted yellow box with an arbor press bushing neck die with decapping base and one of their inline seater dies. I was just making him aware. I know they started making fl bushing dies recently like the one you showed. Thats the style he needs especially for the LM
