CBP picks Glock for new handgun

It is impossible for a Glock to go off without the user squeezing the trigger end of story
Yes but Boo Boo happens with a firearm when you have to pull the trigger to disassemble. Facts are facts. Glocks and NDs go hand in hand. Now you pick the excuse for that! Plus piss poor grip angle that should have been changed 20 years ago.

Like a Glock, but for men!!

It’s more accurate, it’s steel, it’s relatively slim, but it’s missing about half the .45 ACP bullets that a standard mag Glock 21 holds. In that regard, in addition to men, California and the Clinton-era mag limiters also like it just fine, but they sure don’t like my 21.

I shoot them all and favor my 1911’s but I buy Glock and Beretta hi-cap pistols out of sheer gratitude.

You can keep your Glocks. I was safety manager at Quantico where the FBI Academy is and the FBI had 4 NDs in 30 days, all with wounds. One was the Director of the HRT! The Base Commander sent a letter to the Director FBI telling them they needed a safety standown after that month. But then when I was the safety manager at Fort AP Hill, where an FBI sniper shot and killed one of their agents in an exercise. Might just be the FBI. :)
Don’t want to turn this thread political but judging from this post I guess my next excuse would be the FBI is negligent you quoted the negligent discharges with them and look at the way they handled the Mueller investigation and all of that crap

We had guys claim that they just touched the Berreta 96D and the gun went off. Now the 96D had a loooong DAO trigger. The only way it goes off is if you puuuul the trigger or something puts pressure on and puuuls the trigger. Not impossible but not likely.

I can see that NDs will happen with Glocks more than the 96Ds or HK P2000s since the trigger requires less effort. Yes if you keep your finger off but the reality is that people won't and if it's not stored in a holster that covers the trigger....BANG! Last one I remember was a guy that reached into his gym bag and when he touched the 96D it went off, in a gym, with people, some of those kids!

Anywhoo I'm retired and won't have to deal with it although I'd like to have some of their 9mm. As an instructor I had access to plenty to practice...good times!

NOTE: it is physically impossible to have an unintentional (there is NO SUCH THING AS AN ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE) discharge with a Glock. Someone has to pull the trigger, and factory models are at about a 6lb pull.

"This is a Glock 40. I'm the only one who's professional enough to handle one of these..." (BANG!)

I’ve seen that one along time ago and he’s a professional but all these videos are just pushing someone’s opinion it will not change mine looking at the mechanical things that cannot happen unless the trigger is pulled by someone’s finger their clothing etc.

You cant even get a striker fired pistol to go off accidentally if something breaks.
This coming from a great gun Smith who would know this only reinforces my blanket statement of saying when A Glock goes off it is not the guns fault it is user error or extenuating circumstances and either way the trigger was depressed somehow
