Absolutely! The Lab's chair is on the left. :D

These "best friends" of ours, seem to latch onto a little piece of our soul. You could say that they steal it, but we gladly give it up to them. They share it, and even grow it when they are here with us. And when they leave, they take it with them; and we have to learn to live without it, and them. For quite awhile it hurts about like losing an arm or a leg, and maybe that piece of soul never comes back.

I think I might have another little piece of soul to give up to another friend, but that last piece I lost still hasn't healed over yet.

jds I know how you feel. Lost my boy on Feb. 4th. Only seven. I`ve never been stabbed in the heart, but I think I know how it feels. Take care. Jeff

Unconditional love does that to you. They don’t care if you’re young, old, fat, skinny, or anything else. To them you’re just a buddy; one of the pack. Yeah it hurts.

Years back, the wife came home with a White Poodle puppy. Who wants a yapping poodle pup. He jumped in my lap and that clenched the deal.
He raised both of our girls. And after 17+ years, I planted him out back with a bunch of Daffodils on top. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do.
No more dogs for me. BUT, I DO get my dog fix at times.;)

I make quilts, besides getting trouble at times so the wife and I were in the fabric store making the rounds. In comes a lady with a young female Irish Setter.
So, dog fix time. I spoke to the dog, got down on one knee and she came over and put her head in my lap. Come to find out she's a therapy Dog.
Made my day, lowered my blood pressure and generally did me good.
I think of that dog often and know she could make anybody's day.:D:D

I know. Been there three times.
Been there 7 times myself never gets any easier And that’s just my Danes I’ve had 2 other breeds also if you count those 9 times definitely one of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do I said after the two I have are gone I think that it no more dogs but that’s also what I said before I got these two
