This was back at Christmas, one of the boys got Coco(80# Dobe)a Carhartt hoody..... she loved it and didn't want to take it off.
Didn't have the heart to tell her how....uhh,tight it was. It got returned for a larger size. We were rolling in the floor laughing.

You’ll get another one it just takes time about 25 years ago I had a female Dane named RoxyI lost my Roxy (a boxer) in Sept '18, still miss her a lot, she would come check on me when I was in the gun cave for too long. She took a few naps in there while I was piddling with something. I haven't gotten to the point of getting another dog, I think about it some, but still not there yet. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. It's a bumpy road to travel for sure.
So well said!!!These "best friends" of ours, seem to latch onto a little piece of our soul. You could say that they steal it, but we gladly give it up to them. They share it, and even grow it when they are here with us. And when they leave, they take it with them; and we have to learn to live without it, and them. For quite awhile it hurts about like losing an arm or a leg, and maybe that piece of soul never comes back.
I think I might have another little piece of soul to give up to another friend, but that last piece I lost still hasn't healed over yet.

4 wives? LOLThe only thing better than a good dog is a good wife.and maybe a reliable rifle that shoots straight.
PS: Had four in my life time - all great companions. Would love to have a pet ground hog but wifey over ruled me.![]()

Live the first 39 years of my life in Florida I know what you speak of glad to hear you take precautionsTrust me we are watching closely. We live on the wakulla river in the middle of the st marks national wildlife refuge. That is the back yard that is relatively safe in colder weather. During the summer we walk the.dogs away from the water or on leash. Wonderful place to live but snakes and gators are just a part of life.
update: had him on a big old bunny last night 3-17-20 got about 10 barks out of him but he never stopped wagging his tail the whole time! I hate to have to add this edit to my post but I friend Russ passed away this past Friday, July 3. He was a trooper right up to the very end and passed away peacefully. He was two months shy of turning 14. He was very much loved and cherished and will be missed beyond words that I could put down here. I am very blessed to have had such a wonderful dog and friend as him. Also if the dogs don’t like him he cannot be trustedA person who doesn't like Dogs, can't be trusted.
These are my two 30lb spoiled rotten ratties. Lovey as the day is long but a prey drive like an old bird dog and they are merciless and fearless killers.
