Bore scope recommendations

So I have been on the fence about bore scopes .
Like all new tools there will be a learning curve which is written about here . With optics we get what we pay for , better glass more $$. Can we go over which will work without spending $800 +
BBLs I own are 30 cal and 6.5mm
Thx

I suggest getting a Teslong before you buy a more expensive one. Just to see.

I got the $50 one from Amazon and am surprised.

Get the larger mirrors they sell.

Mine came in the mail yesterday. Plugged it in to the computer, Win 10 recognized it, unloaded my dining room 1911 and took this pic, straight view without the mirror.

From the muzzle of a 28" barrel, with the mirror.
End of case neck in the chamber.

I have had a Hawkeye for almost 20 years. Back when I bought it that was about all there was, well, at least that I knew about. I spent a lot more than $800, even way back then. I never regretted it and I also lucked out on the very expensive angled eyepiece attachment. I got that off the bay for like $75new in the box, at the time it sold for $375 and that was back when they actually had real auctions. If there were available at the time these $20-$40 dollar Chinese things I would probably have one of those, because really all that matters is resolution. If you can see clear enough for you then that is all you need. I've already spent the money and cant go back, but I say if $40 will show you what you need to see then it's crazy not to go for it.

Absolutely recommend the Teslong. Plug in versions (original and rigid) work with Windows, Android and I even got mine to work with two Chromebooks. The wifi version is more expensive but is designed for iPhone users.

Sounds good ordered one today .
How are directions ?
This will be my first experience Im trying to combat carbon .

Instructions aren't too bad. Endoscope Camera (Google Play Store) is the best app I've used for Android phones. Don't use the HD version. Doesn't work right for me. Laptops and Chromebooks work with their resident camera software in my experience. While you are waiting for it, take time to read the many posts here to have a good feel for what to expect for possible connection issues. Good luck and enjoy!

At least $50 in FUN :)
Here's a gas port in a BA 24" 22N. About 700 to 800 rounds.
The central view with the 5mm mirror in a .223 bore wastes a lot of pixels.

As always big thanks to Accurate shooter forum!

Here is what I found

1) Open Google Play and search for USB Camera.

2) Select USB Camera by Shen Yao as seen below. I tried 4 or 5 others and they are for shit. This was the only one that worked flawlessly and first time.

3) Click “Install”

4) Wait a few moments for the OPEN button to appear.

5) Accept all pop up alert(s) it might throw up informing you it needs access to your phone’s camera.

6) It will prompt you to plug the Camera in.

7) Accept the inquiry to allow USB camera software to access the USB camera hardware.

8) You should immediately see what the USB camera is seeing.

Has there been any review of 5" monitor . Im think for $160 this will eliminate app and pc issues.

I'm not aware of anyone having that model. It probably would work well for some uses, but I find plugging to a laptop (Windows XP or 10) or Chromebook convenient for general use due to the increased screen size and use them with my phone (Samsung S9) for the occasions I need the portability.

I think the one y’all are referring to is bigger so want fit in the smaller bores???Im not totally 4 sure on this but better check out dimensions before purchasing!!!
Monitor comes as a kit with ntg100 .2 semi rigid or can be purchased seperatly. There under products ,borescopes, accesories. On teslong.com

No, it's .20", the same as the original models. It might be the answer for some uses, but I think for myself it would just be too awkward for most uses. I like to have both hands free to operate the probe. I use either a Chromebook or a rack for my cell phone so I don't have to keep track of my display and the probe at the same time. Just what works for me.

BA24_Leade_5.jpg Reflective pin in chamber, Teslong no mirror from muzzle of 24" BA 22N
5 shots moving out slowly.

Should I polish the leade a little?

Scratches :)
And a little longer load length.
This is a 22N and I'm loading 88's and 90's long as it is but another 0.020" would get the bearing surface out of the neck.

Sorry, I hit the wrong button and deleted! No, I would not. It would take a heap of polishing to advance the bullet .020.
