CRC - It's Official!

jvw2008

Lose the Second and we lose them all.
The Colorado Rifle Club, long range bench rest program, is now a member of the IBS brotherhood. We were officially accepted in November and our match dates for the 2020 season are currently listed on the IBS website. CRC is located in Byers, Colorado approximately 30 miles east of Denver on I-70. We are a 1500 member club with ranges for most shooting disciplines organized over a rolling 2500 acres of property. The 1000 yard shooting line is concrete flooring, under roof, with 21 concrete benches. The quality of our pit arrangement is top notch. For pictures and more info: http://crci.org/

Our core group of Colorado shooters are excited about the 2020 season at CRC and we wish to invite all new and seasoned shooters to come share in our fun. There are approximately twenty RV sites with electricity available, as well as, food and lodging within easy travel distance of the range. It is my personal goal to make all of our shooters feel welcome as we enjoy the camaraderie of serious but friendly competition.

We are looking forward to having a great program and getting to meet some new shooters! :)

Great News! Looking forward to a long lasting relationship and some great 1,000 yard matches! I hope you get some great attendance from all across the nation! Good Luck and thanks for your support of the IBS! JC

CRC has a bunch of really good F-class shooters that are regulars at our Highpower matches, Matt above being one. I've always wondered how these guys would fare in a BR match with their F-class rifles when shooting for group size/score and not having to wait for pit service after each shot. Maybe the results from the west side of the divide last weekend partly answer that question.

At any rate, I sure hope Jerry is successful in his new match director role. We have a great facility that we are constantly trying to improve and our primary focus is and always has been on competitive shooting since the club was founded way back in the 1920's.

Back when they used to shoot 1000 yd BR matches at Byers David Gosnell used to shoot with us. He did pretty good.

He is STILL doing pretty darn good over at WCRSC. Cleaned my clock in HG. :) I suspect he is going to do the same at CRC next year.

Anxious to find out. I know how deceiving Byers can be.
