There are rare times that it is calm at Byers but then the mirage is usually bad. It is possible to shoot small groups there however on occasion.the only time I saw "calm" conditions at buyers was during the first 2 days of the nationals in 2015 ??
PS: It has been great to hear from the many western state shooters who have contacted me over the last several days. We are looking forward to shooting with you all!
August is starting to look like a busy month Shawn. I’m planning on making your match in the first of the month and be back home in plenty of time to pull off our two day get together down here in Colorado. Chances are good that we can get a contingent of CO shooters up there this year. Currently at least four on the list.good luck Jerry & CRC crew the season will be hear before you know it, I love road trips...

The CRC range can indeed be fairly brutal regardless of what discipline you're shooting, but if you guys had been shooting a BR match yesterday, there would have been some nice groups shot. Beautiful readable conditions! As bobm said earlier in this thread, there are plenty of calm days out there, it just doesn't usually happen on match days!
