Tired of being blocked

Lions don't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep.
I'm at the John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana CA waiting for a flight. I hook up to free wifi and this site and every site that has anything to do with firearms or shooting is blocked. Is it this way at every airport?

Same thing happens at work. I work for a very liberal company so complaining there would get only frowns and end promotions.

But the airport is a public venue and blocking my hobby is a violation of my rights. Imagine the outrage if they blocked websites that promoted gayness or Antifa or socialism?

We need to start making our voices heard about blocking shooting related websites. The internet is the new medium and our freedoms are being silently removed behind the scenes. Don't think it's ok because we can work around it (I'm hooked up to my phone as a hotspot right now). They will keep chipping away one thing at a time.

You can try calling the ACLJ (American center for Law and Justice). That’s Jay Seculows group. He represents the Prez as well. They take on a lot of violations to religious freedoms, but also take other cases that violate constitutional rights. A lot of what they do is pro bono if they accept the case

Seems CA stands for Communist America, more and more. The thought police are rising in numbers. I just watched the morning news. The Hallmark Channel just got thumped for pulling ads promoting Gay marriage. The “OK” hand signal is now banned because some White Supremicists use it and smacking a girl on the butt will land you in jail.

I have more questions than answers:
The Armani commercial that played after the story showed a beautiful skinny girl. Are they against “big girls”?
There were no men. Are they against men?
The girl was wearing a very low cut suit. Doesn’t that objectify women as sexual objects?
I’m sure that suit is expensive. Isn’t that putting down poor people?
Something should be done about this!!!

You know Josh, you hit my every thought right on the head. At dinner last night with Paul and family we were talking about the Okay hand sign at Army - Navy game and the very fact that pointing it out so often shows just how liberal the press is. Paul’s an iron worker and they use the okay sign all the time when a piece of iron is raised to the right elevation it’s okay. To raise it higher they give a thumbs up and to use the signals wrong will get you crooked buildings. Or dead men. Or fired. Of course very few iron workers have ever been accused of being liberal.
 
They block gun websites and not gay and Antifa etc for websites because gun owners are preductive citizens that live their lives and. don't threaten to Sue, protest, destroy property and make themselves a h*** on Earth nuisance to corporate organizations.

No good deed goes on punished… like being a law abiding gun owner. They punish that every day of the week and reward mass murderers who use guns with free food healthcare clothing tuition housing etc etc for life.
 
Well I guess various companies and places have the right to block what they want, but I also have the right to stop doing business at those places and go where I and my rights are welcome.
 
Most companies use a firewall or security software that by default blocks forums, porn, guns, facebook and the like. Just trying to prevent hacking. Frustrating, but I don't take it personally, or as them trying to suppress my rights. If you must view something you always have the option to use your cell phone as a hotspot.

That default software thing is probably it. The router company wants to offer a "child safe" content filter but they probably leave it to a third party to create the blacklist. That third party company is probably also located in Silicon Valley where liberals run amok.

It sucks but there probably isn't anything that can be done about it.

Free WiFi isn't a right so the only reason the airport will change it for you is if they decide to maintain their own black list. If you go to the router manufacturer, they will point to the third party and the third party will tell you to switch off the filtering or create your own blacklist. Everyone has someone to point the finger at and no one will want to change.

My solution was to change my cell service to Visible Wireless. It uses the Verizon network and provides unlimited talk, text and DATA with WiFi tethering so you can use your cell data for other devices also. Similar plans exist but Visible is $40 a month. The only catch is that it's not supported on every phone.
 
1. Yes, they just use the default settings on their software. Someone wrote and approved these settings. They can be changed.
2. More and more often, common gestures or words are being designated as ‘racist’ or ‘extremist’. Who makes the choice that this is so? The ACLU or SPLC? I certainly hope not. It seems all our life choices are now subject to to being reviewed by outside sources and declared unacceptable. I decided to reject the School of Politically Correct and move to the neighborhood of I Don’t Care.
 
Google how to open blocked websites. There are a host of videos on how to do this. Never had a need for this so I haven't tried it. I'm sure there are other workarounds to this problem. Finds a 15 year old computer nerd or one of you grandkids. Or simply use your cell phone.
