TESTED: NEW RCBS MatchMaster Powder Dispenser

I'm sure it'll sell, but I don't see the appeal. For ~$800 you're still getting a strain gauge scale, that's about 50-60% slower than an auto throw, and you've got a bunch of wonky codes and modes to deal with.

I like the compact size and the portability of it (I like that about my CM1500/CM Lite too), but if the goal is speed an accuracy, it doesn't seem to approach the level of an FX, meanwhile the price is right up there.

Edit: That and the whole drain system has you picking up the unit to dump powder. That just fundamentally seems like a bad idea; If I picked up my 120i and didn't set it back down EXACTLY where it was, it'd be reading off.

My 2c.

Exactly my sentiment.

Nothing hard about drilling a hole in your reloading table for the powder drain. I have done that for my RBCS inline fab spent primer tube as well. If that’s the only downfall to this point I think it’ll be just fine.

Loading for 224V, I been using the old fashioned method for CFE223... being a ball powder it meters spot on to the tenth.

I could use something for stick / extruded powders that doesnt throw frequent overchargess.

I would love to have an A&D FX-120i, but am having trouble justifying the $470 for it.
Maybe if I shot serious competition but I can't either... I shoot way more pistol than rifle and even my rifle loads are done on a 10/10 scale and my pistol on a Dillon with a digital scale BcZ was nice enough to give me to help speed things up with spot checking powder weights.... For my big rifle I use a scoop and trickle up and get what I want and with practice it's about as fast as a charge master or it is compared to the videos I have seen anyway.... There's plenty of people using those scales and love them and plenty using a charge master and really what's not to like... I want both but can't justify either... I promise you when my groups open up it's not the ammo...lol

There's a nice single stage press beside my Dillon I loaded my ammo on for years but I paid alot more to go from an hour and a half to load a box of 9mm to 15 minutes safely and it was worth every penny for both pistol and .223 but I still use my single stage to load big rifle and to resize all my rifle brass... So I didn't lose money on anything in the long run exept the box of the newest and hottest thing I had to have that was not as good as the tool it was bought to replace... I bet we all have one of those boxes....
