Where is the revolver section

Certainly, but the site is mostly dedicated to rifle accuracy. Questions about handguns can be posted and are answered by members who shoot them. I would think the site would become quite unwieldy if sections were added for handguns, shotguns, muzzleloaders, pellet guns and etc. I have seen each of these with questions posted and politely answered, so there is no deliberate discrimination!

Post your question or topic about revolvers where ever your topic seems to fit. Chances are there will be more than a few guys respond. A great many of us either shoot multiple disciplines or have in the past. Everyone is happy to share their knowledge and experiences.

+1 on just ask , I have answered a bunch and the others have answered a bunch for me.... Especially for reloading.... Sometimes something different is a nice break from the norm....

I'm one - a real "dinosaur". I shot NRA bulls eye competition with a Model 17 rimfire and Model 14 center fire (38 special) S&W revolver for about 30 years. Shot small bore hunter's pistol silhouette competition with the Model 17 for a few years. I also hunted with a Model 27, S&W, 357 magnum taking a deer, many ground hogs, and a few predators.

I still shoot and reload them extensively but don't compete or hunt (except on rare occasions) with them anymore.

You might say I'm a revolver guy.:)

PS: My handle on this web site is K22 - old slang ID for the Model 17 S&W revolver; the finest revolver ever made bar none. ;)

So,are you saying I can ask about reloading for my 44 in the reloading section?
Also would like information on the 44 special using cast bullets..Thank you

OF COURSE YOU CAN!!! Lot’s of guys shoot the 44 Mag, including me! I like shooting the 44 Special loads in my older hands. I was shooting thousands of rounds a year, back in the 80’s and early 90’s. Wheel guns and autos.

If you have a specific question, go ahead and ask it. A lot of us shoot things other than rifles. But as others have noted, this is primarily a rifle forum so I wouldn’t expect a lot of repartee about handguns.

There are a fair number of IHMSA shooters around here.
44 magnum, I burn a lot of 2400 with CB’s.
As far as cast, size is king. Most, not all,but a lot of cast bullets are made to sell, more than shoot well. YMMV
I cast my own, everything from .224-.480. Rifle included. I seek jacketed accuracy and have gotten it on a consistent basis in several rigs.
Wheel guns, I have pretty much moved to Ruger, a sprinkle of SW and a few FA’s.

The Mrs shot conventional pistol with me a few seasons in a semi casual weekday evening indoor 900 league using a High Standard Victor and a Smith model 28. That was quite a few years ago.

Loaded plenty of 38 Special 148 DEWC on a Dillon.

1911's, S&W 19 & M&P semiautos, Ruger Super Blackhawk, Ruger MKII

lost them all in a tragic boating accident.. A long with my rifles....;)
Steve that was terrible. I thought that boat was going to float with the patches made of flex tape.

I shot the Bianchi cup game for about 15-20 years, shot some steel challenge, shot early ipsc starting with 1911 but when i became interested with action pistol used revolvers, hunted with handguns starting with 44mag classic hunter, moved to contenders then a savage striker. Set some records in NRA with my mkii as well as my revolvers. so i have a little experience. I shot so much in those days wore out a bunch of lee progressives before getting my dillon. It was nothing to practice shooting 500-1000 rnds a day several times a week. especially as the bianchi cup got close.
