I rarely comment on the forum as most things sort themselves out during discussions, but
I am compelled to respond to #95 as posted by LANNISTER, re: the Jewell trigger shoe bends
doing pull. I unapologetically disagree. The shoe is SOLID 440C stainless steel, heat treated to
58 to 59 Rockwell C. Even if Superman could pull hard enough to bend it, it wouldn't. It would
BREAK, like glass. So much for keyboard experts.......Another note; Lighter fluid for cleaning, as
in Ronsonol Cigarette lighter fluid, not barbecue fluid. End of rant. Thank you,

FORUM BOSS: Lannister (aka Michael Thip) was banned some months ago for running possible scams. I have just deleted his post re Jewell triggers. The ban function does not automatically delete posts, which much be tracked down one by one.

Just used a Jewell to knock off a coyote that was busy biting my dog on the butt.Trigger did not bend . Coyote spun like a top until he collapsed in the creek.It's agood day when you need to use your Jewell trigger.

Thanks for replying... Regarding Lannister,he is best ignored . Anyone that knows of your triggers will know he was just flexing his internet muscles . Who knows why ?

Makes a person wonder if he actually has experienced it, then does he have a real jewell or some sort of knock off made of something soft. My Jewell's are excellent and do not flex at all, but I stop pulling after the shot breaks so it never sees more than 2oz. Of pulling on it.

Quick question- followed a Speedy Gonzalez picture tutorial and disassembled/cleaned my Jewell br. Upon reassembly, I wet a patch with zippo fluid, wiped all parts and let dry. Do that, or put back together dry? Or.....?

Arnold Jewell, Hello and THANK YOU for your inventions/creations! Talked to you once on the phone many years ago about your 10/22 triggers right after you quit making them. Have your trigger in most every AMT CE and 700 I own and that is considerably more than one. Love them! Prayers that your health is well now and for many more years.

love my 8+ Jewell triggers. maybe the best upgrade to improve accuracy.

My only issue with a Jewell is no matter how hard I try I can seem to get one to work in my Tikka T3!

When building my 10/22 several years ago I was able to get one of AJ's triggers. I was also at Shilen's in that time frame on a weekend when they were testing 10/22 barrels. I was able to put my hands on the best shooting barrel.
A good friend on this forum, Bamban, now is the proud owner.

I have 3 active jewels now. Several more in the past.
The oldest one bought used has estimated 13,000 rounds on it and never been adjusted by
me.
I am in agreement with everything Mr. Jewell said. Especially the part on trigger bending.

I just upgraded my rifle from a 1.5 lb pull to an 8 oz. Wanted to go with a Jewell but couldn't find one with 8oz bolt release and safety. So settled on a Timney, works well but I really wanted to go with a Jewell this time.

Have one in my AR match rifle, 3,000 rounds and never a problem. Flushed it with lighter fluid after each match.

Is that all that is needed to maintain the quality of the trigger to flush the trigger housing with the lighter fluid, let it dry and reassemble the rifle?
How often is this recommended. Every match, every couple of hundred rounds, ...?
