THIS WAL MART BS MIGHT BE A GOOD THING....

Muleman, the "ammo for assault style weapons" was mentioned as targeted.
How does that wash w 308, 9mm, 45acp, 223 etc?

I just cant figure out why companies cater to a very small minority. You get one idiot offended by a plaque on a wall in a town of 100,000 and theyll bulldoze the building. We need to start telling the safe space seekers to shut tf up. Im sick of it.
+1 been happening for years now.... Were I live there's a very small building in the middle of town , you wouldn't look twice at it... One day I noticed a marker made of granite in the bushes so I stopped to look... Turns out it was a arms making place for the south during the civil war.... All the tearing down of statues started and a month later the history marker was removed by the city and no one else even noticed... I don't think 3/4 of the people who live here even knew it was there at least they didn't tear down the building...I don't even think anyone complained they just removed history and nobody noticed.... Pisses me off...

What ever happened to ... If you forget history it will repeat itself.? Just removing markers or statues doesn't meen it didn't happen.... It's down right shameful what's been happening.... Yesterday I drove to Fredericksburg to go to the Pacific war museum , should we tear that down also because of dropping the bomb on Japan , because then that didn't happen either..?

I just want Walmart to explain how not selling ammo fir short barreled rifles when they know they are illegal without a tax stamp and useless to most anyways. Not selling .223 is like not selling aspirin. The Walton family must have brain worms thinking this will help stop mass shootings. I guess they haven't realized that a black market is out there where most criminals buy their stuff anyways. This whole we have to do something wont do anything to stop any maniac . What we need is to get familys to pay attention if a family member is acting really weird. Then get them help before something bad happens. But thanks to the aclu you cant commit anyone or get them help unless they ask for it. Ask me how I know this being a dad of a severe alcoholic. Thank fully my son quit on his own but things were getting scary just before he quit.

I don't see the big outdoor stores dropping their gun lines. That is much of there bread and butter. Walmart is another story however.

That is true, but enough sportsmen and women stopped buying other things there also, they would surely feel the impact. Buy at other stores i.e Dollar Tree, Dollar General, etc. instead, maybe Walmart would wake up to how much sportsmen and women buy at their store other than just guns and ammunition, along with clothing, household and food items.

Walmart in this area hasn't done squat for years, the only people who go into what passes for a sporting goods department in this store are out of town hunters who forgot something from home, we have at least a half dozen small gun stores not counting ffl's that work from home here. The long running joke here is that if you ever have a problem and need a gun just dig under every third fence post, because one will be there. No it's not really a joke, we'll take care of ourselves if the time come for that.

Let's hope it never comes to that.

If you wouldn't buy guns or ammo there anyway what difference does it make?

I suppose their logic is that they can say that they've done SOMETHING even tho it's of little or no impact. I bought a couple of boxes of .243 ammo there a few years ago just because I didn't want to mess around with setting up to load my own at the time. Could have bought it several other places, but why pay more?

Walmart is stocked wall-to-wall with nothing but cheap Chinese sh*t. That's how they keep prices down. Imagine that, a US store mega-chain stocked with nothing but inferior goods from a country that is a world-leading environmental polluter, a world-leading violator of human rights, and that has publicly stated their intention to replace the U.S. as the world's leading superpower. Is anyone here surprised Walmart has caved to anti-gun Democrat progressives, yet another group devoted to trampling on citizen's rights and the continual quest for power?

Everybody, reload.

Reload en mass.

Lots of hollow points.

Maybe even cast your own bullets.

10mm is calling you.

Make their dream turn in to their nightmare.

Edit....no mental illness plea. No one in their right mind would take another person's life in a mass shooting.
Dave

Mass murder is itself insane. No insanity plea rewarding them for the very thing they did.

And who knows if they went insane before or after they killed numerous people ?

Must remember that this could cover a lot of ammo, even 22lr, a AR style/assault rifle, by their definition also can be found in 22lr, 17hmr and a couple other calibers.

Walmart is easily big enough to weather the anti guners if they actually wanted to. The antis aren’t going to go somewhere else and pay more for everything just to boycott them. One or two might but 99.9% won’t. It would be nice to see the Walton’s grow a pair.

I just read yesterday that a Walmart spokesman said they are not about to get rid of the hunting rifles and shotguns ,ammo etc. He said they will continue to support the hunting crowd.

Problem is, 2A was never about "hunting". Walmart can shove that remark, or Any limitations.
Helping us, by allowing hunting type exceptions is total BS.
If the docile public is willing to negotiate what the corrupt government can take, one controversial item at a time, it opens the door to take it ALL in short time. Just because we, personally, have no interest in certain things being grabbed, weather Black-Bump-Quiet-Short-Long... whatever, the 2A must not allow any of it to be infringed.
None of their Grabbing will stop/slow any shootings.
Criminals do not follow laws, by definition!
This is NOT about safety.

The last 20-30 years(especially 8 years of the previous president) public education purposely recreated history to put the best possible view of the European system forward. You see it every time a lib, progressive, socialist, communist(DFL politician) or most college students speak in any group setting. They talk about democracy(where simple majority vote OR opinion sets policy, and the individual has no protection from the government). We are a constitutional republic, as such we have natural or God given rights that protect us from the government. The left wants to convince enough(of the population, can't even say citizens that's why they want voting for residents) that the government is the only entity that can protect you from another, while all along you lose the right to Life, Liberty and Property. That's why they take an oath to protect the constitution, and laugh at all of us as they dismantle it, knowing if they get their way we can't even protest.

It's painfully obvious that so called "gun control" laws, don't work.
Look at the crime increases, in places foreign and domestic, where these idiotic ideas have been exercised. That's Proof.
Is Anybody Really that naive??
I think not.
I am not running for the phone, when someone kicks in my doors, jumps in my vehicle, or opens fire in public. We've already got a Better plan for those types of events, now.
It is simply about disarmament, and Control. Tyranny

What sucks about this whole thing is those of us who live in a small town with only a Walmart to shop at. I would love to boycott Walmart over this but where else am I going to get my everyday needs? Amazon? They are just as bad. Traveling 2 hours to the nearest "bigger city" to shop gets expensive and time-consuming pretty quick. Luckily we have a pretty decent gun shop here in town that carries most things shooting related but they are no help when you run out of Toiletries or cleaning supplies.

We need to remember that there are thousands of people who are simply swept along in this "common sense gun control" movement. They are like a flock of sheep, and know very little, or nothing at all about guns, the constitution, the founding of our nation -- they have no actual opinion of their own; only what they are fed by the media.

These people are ripe for the picking, and need to have their "Inner Free American" woke up. They need to realize that if they work to feed themselves and their family, and live free in the best country in the world, they need to take responsibility and help defend themselves and their loved ones, and their country. Stop being punks, and expecting the gummint to wipe their butts and save their bacon.

The founders enlisted us all into the militia that ultimately keeps this country free and independent, and as long as that militia exists, so will our freedom. jd

All this is true. However color TV, air conditioner, and basically anything you want on demand isn't helping to stop what Jeff Cooper called the "further emasculation of society." Sadly, there's too many who will gladly hand over their "Inner Free American" (aka your soul) for creature comforts. Just like you, JDS, I am going to make an herculean effort to look on the bright side.

I'm reminded of the words of Samuel Adams:

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

All is not lost, many of us have children and grandkids we're teaching to love America and to be not only good citizens, but also to be a man or a lady in the truest sense of the word.

I'm going back outside and sweat before I get any softer.

God bless America, can't say it enough.

Don't worry,I'll send some toilet paper and Mr.Clean.

I agree, no plea deal, no sob story about what a rough life he has had, etc. Just try him and walk him out the back door to the gallows for a 7 knot necktie.
The fellow who pulled off the last shooting in Midland/Odessa is reported to have called the FBI many times.
What's insane to me is why they didn't do their job and investigate him or at least refer him to local law enforcement.
