Deer stand preparation

Nice blind Mike, I'm going next weekend to fill feeders and check my blind. Seeing the wasp nest reminds me to put bug bombs on my list. I also need to round up a 6 pack of propane bottles for my heater.

I finally started refilling my own tanks and glad I did. I learned to freeze them and return them to the freezer for a good full tank. For about $1 you can refill your own if you have your big tanks filled at a RV dealership. (Better deal)

I use a postal scale for accuracy but it’s not really necessary. Bought the adapter at Walmart $20 but amazon will be only $10

I didn't even think about refilling the empties. One of the old hunters on the lease used to re-fill our bottles years ago, I will have to check with him and see if he still has his adapter for filling the bottles. Thanks for the info.

I’ve been refilling mine for a couple years now

1 suggestion, paint the inside of your blind black. It makes a difference.

Agree!
From the windows up it’s painted flat black. I like the wood on the lower half to be clean. Pretty dark inside with the overhang shading it. They can only see my head and shoulders from outside which makes a difference also. Never understood why some companies put vertical windows in so the deer can see inside and catch movements.

Also needed are security cameras all round and a monitor with split screen, see them all at one glance. Make sure to get a set of headphones in order to listen to the T.V. and not
have Bambi listening to it.

All camoed cept the bottom which stands out like a white flag.
Deer don't care Im sure, not many looking up and scanning the trees.
Looks pretty nice and comfortable while waiting for them.

You have any trail cam pics yet?
I like the natural camo under the stand.

Very nice blind. need an easy chair for those occasional afternoon siestas.
lol, I have a high backed office chair in my blind, it's real easy and not uncommon to start getting droopy eyed in the afternoon when the sun is coming through the window warming things up. I have to fight the urge and tell myself I could have stayed home to take a nap. I keep thinking as soon as I close my eyes that is when the bruiser is going to make his appearance or the pigs will come out.
