Great pics! I enjoyed the snow myself. I'm only about 45min. west of you. The little spec on the map called Denton. I don't have the camera equimpent that you and preacher have but wish I had took some pics of the view from my Box blind. There were some great views. Seen plenty of deer on the snowy days. Just not the one I'm looking for! My last chance will be tommrow. Hope he shows, but I have my doubts! I got a good look at him back in early Oct. at about 82yrds. I'm pretty good with my bow, but not that good! ;D

No chance of the pond freezing over preacher, it was 60 degrees over the weekend. Told ya we don't get much snow...
Well, deer season is over now. Figured I’d post a few last pics. Although not much deer hunting the last week. I had a last minute chance to go striper fishing with one of my friends brother-in-law, and took him up on it.
It was my first trip out in the ocean & I found out pretty soon that I’m a much better shooter than seaman (didn’t have to be much of a shooter). About 2hrs in I got pretty sick. Wasn’t long after before I thought my big toe had come out my mouth... I thought my body was inverting; never pucked that much in my life. (Yeah, the guys I was with thought it was pretty funny too)
After two days of various troubles before we hit the water, then me chuming everywhere; we did eventually catch several fish.
Here are some pics from the trip (sorry there's a LARGE gap in there I wasn't much on taking pics)
The guys I went with stayed an extra day and caught LOTS of “rock fish” the next day. Although it was fun (except for the feeling I was going to die), I decided to come back home, keep my feet on land & get back to what I’m used to. I celebrated by shooting this cull the last day (on a drive) with a shotgun. Isn’t he a dandy! LOL

I am very familiar where Denton is. I lived in Farmer for about 4 years, we just recently moved back to Coleridge (yeah that’s a place). I don’t have a cool camera like preacher either. All the photo’s on the post were from my cell phone, if you believe that. I gave up on “the one” around mid December & thought I’d put some meat in the freezer, as you might be able to see from the tread (isn’t it great to get pretty much unlimited antlerless tags in NC).

yea the Town can be some kinda place! Not bad on the out skirts. I have a high school buddy that lives on Bisher Chaple RD off of Farmer RD. Not much to do here but hunt, shoot, and well I'm sure you know the rest ;D. I recently got a Droid, and it takes awesome pic for a phone! Wish I would have had it during the snow. I need to start taking my Cam with me while hunting! Just for my on memorabilia. Hope you made well during this week? A little snow, then the Ice came! Man it has been heck driving to kernersville everyday just to go to work! Anyway I have enjoyed your's and Pearcher's pics, and Yes we are blessed with 6 antlerless tags! Only got to take 2 myself this year due to work, but even so other's chiped in and my freezer is full! YUM YUM! Got to try out the Berger Hunting bullet out to 322yrds and I must say I'm very impressed with accuracy and bullet performance!

Truth is, it is does not take much to kill stuff......
shot placement is key.
My brother killed two does last year a 270 yards with an AR-15 shooting 53g Tripple shocks. My last antelope was killed at 430 yards with a 223 shooting 55g Winchesters with a muzzle velocity of 3100 fps.

I was surprised to see the thread bumped back up... Glad you got to see it alf.
Wish I had started it at the beginning of the season & kept it updated. There was a bit more shooting than that. Was a good memory jar when I looked it back over though. It would be neat (for me at least) to look the thread over again several years down the road...
