110 sierra bullets

Cheap and very accurate in my rifle. Performed poorly on hogs had to shoot each hog multiple times. In fact I almost sold my 6.8 they performed so poorly on hogs.

These bullets have been hard to get shooting in my 6BRA 1/7.5 Twist. Have some groups that start at point of aim then a flier then third shot will go into first hole fourth into second and then more random fliers. Shot a group tonight with them where shots 2,3,4 all went into the same hole and shots 1 and 5 were fliers about 3/4 at 4:00 and 10:00 of the group. Weird.

I have this same experience with the 110s...

They shoot great in my 7.5" BRA with 4895 but they don't like to go fast in it. 2800 even .010" off is where I'm at. With the high BC they still hold up well at long range.

Yeah I saw your post above. Ive tried two different powders and several charge weights and gone from 15 thou jammed to 40 thou jumped with nothing stellar and nothing repeatable. I want them to shoot but I'm about to bail on them.

I get it, sometimes it's time to throw in the towel...

Who's barrel? Mines a 237 Krieger 4 groove

How fast did you take them, I was hoping for an other node.... jim

It should have hit a higher node up that far. How much have moved on seating depth? jim
I haven’t checked the seating depth since the initial load development. It only has about 300 rounds through it since then. I only shoot F class and while I like the case and it’s very accurate it doesn’t do anything for me that my BRX’s don’t do better for F. I can get 3000+ with 110’s and RL16 with sub X ring accuracy in the BRX.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying these bullets are junk. Just having trouble finding the magic.

Some left to right breeze and mirage when I shot. 30grs H4895 110 Sierra. Shoot some more groups with flags and chronograph. Im guessing 2875-2900fps given my 105 Hybrid load l.

We will see I guess, I have a 7 twist to try. I did check some of the bullets out and they are very uniform..... Anyone try the 115 Bergers?.... jim

I've shot the Hornady 110gr. ATIPs out of my 6BRA. .010" off the lands and with 30.5 of H4895 was getting 2822fps with a ES of 18 and a SD of 6. Just shot ragged holes. Wish I had more than 22 of them at the time.

I've got some 110SMK and that is the next thing to load up and shoot.

The 107smk shoot excellent as well as the 105's.

My barrel is a 7 twist.

Just did a little testing. 30gr H4895, 110 Sierra 450 primer, .010 off jam. Is running 2865 average for 15 shots. SD was 9. I had one shot go 2843 and one go as high as 2879 for ES. Fourth firing on brass.
