Wilson in-line seater alternative? Neil Jones?

So right now I use a Wilson in-line seater for an arbor press. I would like to continue to seat with an arbor press so threaded dies are out of the question. I want something that is a step up from the Wilson, Something that fits my brass better. Is the Neil Jones the best option? Since it has the interchangeable bushings? I don’t own the reamer for my rifle. So what are my choices? Thanks ahead of time.

If you want something better than a universal Wilson, get a competent machinist of have the same gun Smith who did your chamber make his own or run your reamer in + .050" a Wilson micrometer top blank. Can't really get any better than that. As long as they properly indicate the blanks. Turns out they aren't perfectly concentric.

I do what Mike suggested....have a Wilson blank cut with the chamber reamer.

@X-47B are you referring to accuracy on target, or do you find you are getting runout just from your seating process?

I bought one of these used. I wouldnt not buy another personally. I really like the seater stem top, but I did not care for the rest of the dies construction, certainly not for the price they command. Since I bought it used, I only paid ~$100, but I wouldnt buy another. Maybe mine was an old design.

EDIT: I do realize this will likely ruffle some feathers, but that was just my experience. I had called and left a voicemail to John, and never did hear back from him either.

John makes excellent products. Or, if you really have some cash to throw around, Warner Tool also makes custom dies. I have two of their sizing dies and they are superb.

Im a fan of the threaded seater. I know this drives most reloaders to the curb, but i know a lot of top br competitors that use them

I completely understand. But I do like using my 21st hydro press. It’s made a big difference in my reloading.

I do have one and use it on some of my dies. for calibers ill be shooting forever I make a threaded die from a newlon blank and with a fine custom press such as a JJ or Bruno I can feel very small differences <5 and anything less than that gets lost in the noise. only issue is you really need 2 presses when you do this instead of moving dies to be efficient at the range.

If you make a threaded die from a newlon blank, say 6.5x47L, does it means that I can use that die for all 6.5x47L rounds for seating going forward even using different rifle?

On most of my numerous Wilson Seater Dies I bought from Sinclair, the dies can’t be accurately adjusted. When I finally get a seater set, I lock it place and and never adjust it....there must be a better way.

They do help on my Wilson seater. I have the same issue. I set my Wilson a little low and adjust with these. They work well

I think they start at .003. So I set my die back .002. I can adjust .001 in any direction. They to work well.

Not sure- never tried. I know harrels makes one big enough and its got good feel
