Target face numbers horizontal vs vertical

I have read some discussion on the target numbers changing from horizontal to vertical. I am a hold off shooter and figured the difference would bother me.

Well we were shooting along quite well in Missouri and I did not even realize we were shooting targets with vertical numbers until I changed my first target face in the pits. Guess it doesn’t bother me.

I thought It would bother me too but it might be better without the clutter. Now that you mentioned it I don’t think anybody ever noticed or said anything. Seems like the pasters didn’t distract as much with the numbers missing.

If I can see them I definitely feel that I hold better when the numbers are there but it's not the end of the world. They have always been vertical on 500 yd targets as far as I know.

So that's what caused all my vertical on Sunday...........................huh.

As long as everyone is shooting at the same target, what that target is, is irrelevant.

I have had the same experience when using the vertically numbered rings. It did not bother me at all in spite of my prior contmept.
