The Blame Game.....

When you get a "bad" product it has to be the company's fault because we all check our action screws, torque our scope base/ring screws, follow all directions, check everything twice, use the product only as intended, etc.

I went to a shooting school a while back. On their website there is a page they ask all the students to read before coming to the school. There is a list of things to do/check before coming. One of those is to check/torque scope base/ring screws and action screws. The staff verifies zero at the start of the first range session. When they picked up one rifle there was enough movement between the stock and action you could actually see it. The action screws were not even hand tight!

From where I sit, the big issue today is that thanks to the internet of things we all want instant gratification and we don't want to take any responsibility for our own actions. Any negative consequences must be someone else's fault, right? Isn't that why the tort law industry is booming today? Kinda like the Roundup lawsuit in CA recently. The plaintiff actually testified that his clothes got soaked with the Roundup he was using on multiple occasions! Maybe it is just me, but if you are dumb enough to allow yourself to get soaked in ANY chemical and don't get it washed of promptly then whatever happens is on you not the manufacturer!

I have only dealt with one company that I was not satisfied with in the firearms industry. It has been tempting to add to the bashing in the threads about the company but there has been enough discussion by others that I don't see any need to add to the negative commentary. I handle this the same way I do other consumer issues, I vote on whether a company should stay in business with my dollars. I know that many times my vote is small and gets lost in all the other transactions but it is still my vote! My vote goes to the supplier with a product of the quality I want with customer service that will back it up. Brings to mind A.G. Russell (https://agrussell.com/). Go read their guarantee.

read the warranty in the Ruger guide on your new firearm,,they don't tell you what you have, and they BLAME it on the government..

I got this out of a brochure from a shotgun smith in Tahlequah Ok, around 30 years ago. I have seen different iterations of this and I'm sure he didn't come up with it. Maybe it fits...or not.

The pain of the high cost of quality work will soon pass, but the bitter taste of poor workmanship will linger forever.

Beautiful, a corollary to "Buy once, cry once".

That sounds great...but when you plan to buy once and get ripped off on the first "Buy" you feel like you were lied to.
got a question,,have you ever been ripped off by someone on this site, yes or no, simple. Personal stuff or advertisers. If you sold something, did you get your money timely. All this
crap has really went to far, I must escape.

You are reading way to much into my posts, chill out. Been ripped off by the best and the worst...let your imagination run wild.

So, I spent a year and a half dealing with a local hospital over charges on an ER bill for things they didn't do. Last week, during another call with them, I was finally told that they had finished the audit and, just as I said, a charge had been placed on my bill in error. My reply "Great news! So my bill will be $XX less now?" Them: No sir. We gave credit back to the insurance company. WAIT A F#$@N MINUTE!!!!! I ma the one that has been fighting over this for so long! I am the one who is responsible for what insurance didn't cover plus the 20% copay. I should get my bill lowered by 20% of that amount.
No sir. we credit the insurance company.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I have NEVER had a bad experience with any company related to my firearms. Ever. They can never-ever come close to the BS described above.

Yes I have and they are a big advertiser here and they will never get another cent from me as long as the current owner still owns the business.
