About What is a Firearm

So let's see
I've pissed off my neighbor for some unknown reason, my ex (insert appropriate gender here);)is scared of me, my roommate got the hell out, my doctor thinks I have a problem and the cops are aware due to multiple suspicion activities. And I can't figure out why I'm called into court to explain myself.
Maybe I do have a problem?

Hey I'm just messin guys...;)

I see your point, but I think most of us know of at least one situation where someone went on a 'revenge campaign' and royally screwed someone they had an issue with.
Misuse of power and authority is common human behavior, unfortunately.

Don't you think Clinton and Reno just wanted him and many others dead, so they would end the whole group/cult as they called them ? Reno got her way and you heard nothing further about it, after a few days really, right ?[/QUOTE]

That was not my quote, things got messed up earlier. I agree 100% with you.

Or went on a revenge campaign and shot up their place of employment.

We use to call that going Postal!

And then there's always-
Bitches be Crazy!

I need to get a flintlock pistol. A guy really needs some sort of firearm for home protection but i dont want to get too crazy. Maybe i can get one of those that have the wick that rolls down to the flashpan when you pull the trigger- a matchlock
.30 cal air rifle that'll hurt,

Whoa, whoa, whoa!!!
You got a boyfriend?

Just messin wit ya, but ya might want to edit that.

Very interesting that you brought up the UN. A friend told me 20+ years ago that it is written in the UN Charter, that ALL citizens will be disarmed, and total gun confiscation is a goal. I have never researched this comment, so I do not know if it is true, but every gun owner will make the biggest decision of his/her life when "whoever/whatever entity" decides to kick in doors to take away our Liberties. May GOD have mercy.
I know you guys probably think I'm full of shit,
But Agenda 21 is for real! It will be implemented and inforced by the UN, let's face it our service men and women might take issue with disarming thier families.
Walking around deef, dumb, blind ain't helping.
Said it before, our commander in chief
might be unto something by wanting out of NATO.
Now where did I leave the rifle?

Yes. There was a period of time where the US Postal Service experienced numerous workplace shootings. Therein lies the problem, though. In any demographic there will be numerous individuals experiencing various degrees and types of mental illness. Someone sane today may not be capable of sane decision making tomorrow . And while I feel empathy for anyone in the throes of such a problem, I believe that does not trump the right of anyone in harm's way to defend themselves or others in obvious peril.

Sorry, I'm 'preachin to the choir'.

NY has had a "red flag law" in it's domestic incident investigations for years. I was often the unwitting victim (investigating officer) of a spouse who would allege a crime, swear to it, stick me with a mandated arrest, and then the court would order confiscation of weapons and issue an order of protection, then let the offender/suspect out (usually couldn't go home cause the victim spouse was there, effectually taking the house, car, clothes and getting the guns locked up for months...justice grinds slowly). Huge up tick in these calls just before deer season. Kinda like kicking below the belt...
Hypothetical question: how many of you have a kilo of coke on the coffee table? None. why? Cause it is illegal as heck. When my Sgt. said he would never turn in his guns or take any from anyone I laughed, cause I know he had a 300k mortgage and no other skills. If they said turn em in, or go to jail, he would turn em in and his brother too!

People who are law abiding will abide by the law. Thats what they are counting on.

Good post snert.
There is some feel goodie stuff going on in WA, County Sheriffs are saying they will not enforce new gun laws. I see a couple flaws in this.
One, if in the city, the local PD may not be on board with non enforcement, giving a real sense of false security.
2nd, you go on record saying you or your department are not enforcing a law, the minute something goes south, well, your job is done here.

^^^^ And when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.
Outlaws and paid armed security.
We've seen a lot of newer or younger people jumping on the ban guns movement, but what pisses me of the most, is that the most vocal, the most influential(money & profile) people at the forefront of their cause all seem to have armed security. But yet I may not be worthy of owning a firearm.

What is really senseless is the fact that, in our society, we are big on having to be a "subject matter expert" with absolutely everything but law making. How many ridiculous laws have been passed regarding firearms that makes you stop and say, "wow!!! you're a special kind of stupid aren't ya???"
Unfortunately I live in the communist democrat state of Maryland...we have a law that says not only can you not buy a magazine that holds more than ten rounds, but you cannot possess one that was made after this law was passed!!! Now it's no secret that magazines are not serial numbered or otherwise have a "made on" date...Our local sheriff, a stand up guy, openly said in public what a stupid law and that there is no way he could begin to enforce it.
The same mentality that passed that has nothing to say about a bang stick. In fact, bang sticks are not considered firearms and you can make your own at home. I couldn't believe it...being a scuba diver the subject came up on a dive in shark territory...I had to confirm it because I didn't believe bang sticks are not regulated at all......these are the kinds of things that coined the phrase "you must be democrat stupid!!!" or, "you are just about stupid enough to be a dem in congress!"
Anyone remember those Navy aircrew survival flare guns...you could drill the little barrel out to hold a 38 Special cartridge and it was an instant pen gun. Pen guns are illegal by federal law, but apparently you can put it on the end of the two or three foot long stick and it's okay.......

There's "what have you been smoking?". Unfortunately most of the stupid, unconstitutional laws or local regulations come from ditch weed legal states. The UN socialist guidelines are already being introduced into public schools, have been since the Obama years. "Educate" the youth, easier to disarm and quiet the masses later on.
And one half of our elected politicians laugh at us, funding our own loss of freedom and our voices.

Well I posted my thoughts to this thread on the wrong thread (mineral spirits thread). Oh I got a few comments on that, have to admit that was embarrassing but kinda funny.... anyways my point was if we lose this fight or do nothing I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried “re-education” camps.
