I have shot more than 20 deer over the last several years with my 6mm TCU, and I shoot Sierra's 85 gr. B.T. - H.P. Game King with excellent results. Deer average 100 to 170 pounds on the hoof, but I have never lost a deer and never had to shoot one twice. Shots have ranged from 20 yards to just a few steps shy of 300 yards.

I talked to a guy named Paul at Sierra today he was really helpful and the 85 grain bthp GK was the bullet he suggested I use for Whitetail hunting out of the 6 mm TCU I don't have any experience with this bullet but I'm definitely going to be doing a little bit of ballistic testing with it to see how it works in the ballistic gel.
I think you are a lucky guy to have that weight bullet work in a 11" twist.
There is no reason for it not to work. I shoot that same bullet in a 6mm-284 with a 1-13" twist rate at 3,900 fps and a 6mm Bench Rest with a 1-10" twist at 3,200 fps and a 6mm Ackley Improved with a 1-12" twist at 3,600 fps and a 6mmX30-30 Improved with a 1-11" twist rate at 3,300 fps and they will all do 1/4" @ 200 yards when I do my part...

I've been using 95gr Partition's out of my 6x45. Nickle size entrance and quarter size exit on broadside heart/lung shots. Shreds the lungs and puts a big hole in the heart. LOTS of blood on the ground. Never had one go more than 10 yards.
Nice! I am using Benchmark with Berger 80 gr. FB Varmints in my 28" 12tw Krieger 6X45AI. Very consistent 1/2 MOA...
It was a nice day out today so I decided to go shoot my 6mm tcu. Still fire forming rounds with the 87 grain boat tail hollow point from Hornady my velocities fire forming are 2570 fps out of a 22" Barrel . can't wait to start working up some loads for this thing I enjoy shooting it

Do you have the long freebore in your barrel?
I set mine up specifically for Sierra's 85 gr. B.T. - H.P. Game King bullet, and the base above the boat tail, is even with the bottom of the neck, which also has the bullet seated .007 into the rifling.
With the balance of the gun, plus a muzzle brake, I would compare felt recoil to that of a .22 Hornet. Watching the bullet impact through the scope is great, and I always know exactly where my bullet hits.

It was throated for the 90 grain Sierra game changer with freebore but I do not know how much freebore he put in it but I can find out for you if you need to know.

I have a tendency to go with a shorter throat than what most do, trying to get a little longer ACCURATE barrel life out of a gun, but I also very seldom ever shoot a heavy for caliber bullet either. If however, I will be pushing the maximum pressure limits, then and only then do I run with an extended throat length.

I ended up going with a X Caliber Barrel from ragged hole Barrels Contour #4.
5 rounds at 550 yrds. yesterday from the previously mentioned..
It owned the chicken at 700 yards also even with a tricky 3-4 mph from 11 to 2.
That's awesome. I'm only going to take mine out to about 300. Mine is going to be more for hunting. I may try some longer distance once I get a good load worked up and get everything settled in

Just got mine done a week ago. Still tinkering with a few things but nothing major. Fire forming loads using WW and LC18 virgin brass are both doing sub MOA. Plenty good for prairie dogs in another month or so.
I went with a 1-8,LV contour Wilson blank from ragged hole. Cleans easy has not shown a hint of any copper fouling. Short throated with intent of 55-70 grain bullets till wear allows heavier.
