I was thinking that adding swift capital punishment would help as wellVasectomy and tubal ligation. The first two options aren't permanent.

I moved to Casper Wyoming about 7 months ago. No regrets.
@rkittine that’s your house in NYC?!? What do you do for a living?! I had a GF who lived in NYC when I went to college there. She was paying 4K a month for a little dump in Manhattan. That was back in 2009-2010.
I have an aunt that lives on the Long Island sound in Setauket. Her house is nice, but the same $2 mil it costs and her insane property taxes could buy you a mansion on 250 acres of property down here in Georgia.
Something tells me if is income was in the 5 figures he would be singing a different tune.
137k's probably on the way low side.Average household income in my town is 41k, average house hold income in sag harbor is 137k!! Lol
On the flip. I live in a place called Seeley, Ca. Population 2500. Farming country. Hay mostly. Really hot in the summer, 115 but only for three months. There's a great 1000 yard range I can see form my house. Hunt dove, duck, quail, rabbits, coyotes and bobcat 10 minutes from home. I can buy all the ammo I want , plus I reload. Can buy all the guns I can afford. They say this shouldn't be so. That I live in a blue state. Thing is I don't do politics. All the people I know that do are unhappy. BTW I'm going to the range tomorrow. 75 degrees, shorts, and t/shirt. Signed, ignorant ass farm boy living the American Dream in sunny Southern California.
You nailed it,A lot of this dance is how you handle it ...some make it tougher than it has to be.On the flip. I live in a place called Seeley, Ca. Population 2500. Farming country. Hay mostly. Nobody told me about a limit. Guess the cashier at Wally world was ignorant too. ARs are the only thing keeping my local gun shop alive. How do you buy ammo though? Aren’t there new laws limiting ammo consumption? Can you buy an AR? Or do you just ignore those laws or are the laws not in effect?
I've lived in the same general area my whole life of 42 years.
How do you guys that relocate from one geographic extreme to the other figure out just where to move to ?
I've wanted for a warmer climate for a few years now.
Family, friends, and a good paying job keep me here. But alway wondering ?
Well for me it was the army relocating me. I scouted our the area before getting a house. I was always living about 45 mins to an hour from post. Cities right outside posts are usually not the greatest places.
Then living in several places over my career, I branched out to do fun stuff. Hunt, fish, shoot, so I got to see a lot of the country. There are a ton of really nice, cheap places to live. That’s why I get annoyed at Cali or Ny folks (not you guys, just in general) who are like “what’s theeeerrreee toooo dooo?? You mean you can’t walk to some overpriced restaurant and then go watch some broadway plaaaay?!”
I usually respond with “yeah, no, bro I go to nice restaurants in my town, I watch movies, and I can go 5 mins down the road to experience the great outdoors. Btw what you pay a month in taxes, I pay half of for that entire year!!”
I’m not the norm. The army definitely helped me see a lot. Now that I’m out of the army. I moved back to my hometown, just to be with my friends, family, it’s cheap, tons of outdoor stuff, a an insanely good job for the area.
Now, if I didn’t have a family, and a wife who “needs” to be close to some type of city, I would plop my ass out in Louisiana, arkansas, Wyoming, the dakotas, or Montana. I would seriously be turning my hobby into a passion/lifestyle. I have day dreams about it. You only live once....

Some of our politicians want to put a limit on the amount of factory ammo you can buy, but no law has been passed yet to that to occur, as of now. AR's can be bought, but need to be Ca compliant. There are also political wants/laws to limit the number of weapons bought per month and back ground checks on buying ammo along with video recording of the purchase and a permit from the state, but again, not signed into law, as of yet. But the way Ca politicians are, it may well come to be. And to think criminals will not be effected one bit by any of that.
Correct, you only live once...and you are writing a chapter, the book is far from finished. dreams, plans, goals. oh and reality. sort it out and make it happen.Well for me it was the army relocating me.
