According to a friend of mine, G David Tubb had a 2 digit member number there (Sniper's Hide) so he joined pretty early on. He used his own name as his screen name so there was no doubt who was posting the information. After a few threads where he was trying to offer good advice and all the keyboard commandos told him he didn't know what he was talking about he just quit the site. From what I have seen, it hasn't changed much since then.
Snipers Hide? I would never be that desperate. If you want to have some fun, put up a post suggesting that painting a gun “camouflage “ is stupid and watch what happens.

I went on SH for about 2 days. I’m Army and thought I could “hang.” Turns out if you’re not delta force or an actual sniper with at least as many kills as Chris kyle, you don’t know your head from your ass.

I signed up for the mammoth sniper challenge this year. I googled a packing list and there was a thread about a good packing list on SH. No sh^t, 3 posts down a guy comments about how he doesn’t need to pretend to be a sniper. Then all hell broke loose about who can carry a heavier ruck, and who’s been in the sh^t, and who doesn’t “pretend” to do things. Absolutely insane. Probably the same dudes who post stolen valor videos on YouTube.
A really bad case of "little man syndrome " to say the least.

What sucks is that his YouTube videos are no BS. They are really good, informative, and straight to the point. I wish his forum was like that.
That veteran, “been there, done that” crap gets old. There’s no room for learning since you’re probably hurting some old E8s feelings. That’s what I love about this site and long range hunting, 99% of the forum members are really helpful and kind.
Ok, it’s a new year coming, I need to stop hatin’!
None of the above in this corner, but I know where the food goes in and where the opinions from snipers hide come out.

Sorry, but posting that a fixed power Leupold scope at Long range trumps any 4K scope in FFP with a 500 hash mark reticle, w/o CA and a couple more abbreviations will get a far bigger outcry.
