Was going to build a 17/204 this winter, was wondering if anyone had a reamer print I could send to JGS to have a reamer made. Was wanting to shoot 25 grain v maxs out of a 9 twist barrel.

You could just call jgs and tell them what you want to do and theyll make the right reamer for you instead of making a copy of one. Or you could check around with some gunsmiths and see if they already have one

What's wrong with the standard 17 Remington? I am in no way saying not to neck down the .204, heavens knows I like things a bit different. Just asking. I picked up a really nice 700 chambered in .17 Remington a few months back and I have been having a blast with it.

I called them yesterday, they didn't have a print on file, that is why I was asking for a print. I figured it would be a pretty easy fix, since it just neckng down a 204 to17 caliber, but the lady said they didn't have a.print for it, so I figured I could find someone who has already had a reamer made, along with the print.

Maybe try ptg or manson- ive seen them before so i know its been done

Ordered my .17-204 reamer from PTG. Do not have a print on hand.

I ordered a reamer from PT&G 198 neck, and 0 freebore.
