.......I'll take BS for $300 Alex

There are quite a number of guys whacking a mile with 6.5 creed. Just that it's not with a Ruger American w/o some moa base, or Hornady factory ammo. Get a decent 140 gr bullet going 2925, add some altitude or higher DA, all comes down to where a bullet goes subsonic or how well the bullet makes the transition.

It's a real lazer bro...
I was at a local "Cruise In" where all the gearheads bring their hotrods and ratrods and retrorods and drive around in circles while we all yell at them and there was a healthy sounding 69 Dart.... with a Chevy BLAZER sticker acros't the windshield. An actual factual 6" tall K5 BLAZER window sticker from a pickup truck.

Pile of latino guys inside...

I went over during the Show-N-Shine and asked the owner "So what's the scoop? You got a Rat motor in there? It sure sounds like a 383 but is it really a Big Block Chevy?"

"Chebby?"

"No man'g this is a Dodge..... She got a 383 Man'gum man'g...."

"So what's with the BLAZER sticker?"

"Ohhh Dude!! She BLAZES bro...!!!"

Steel for the most part, varying sizes I'd imagine. Are you a hater? Creedmoor, in both 6 & 6.5 have been popular here out west. And for good reason, it works for guys who shoot them. 99% of shooters I know do not shoot BR, or F class, it is steel and fun, and it's growing, and the prize tables at matches are something to behold. If I can recall, the 2014 snipers hide cup had in excess of 125K in prizes.

Had a guy tell me and my boys he shoots quarter size groups at 500 yards with his factory 308 "all the time". Then he says with his factory 300 win mag, he shoots 4" groups at 1500 yards "all the time". This is with factory ammo too...we had just asked what he was loading with the powder he had in his hand. After he started talking, we walked off without getting of the powder.

Not a hater, but live in the real world. Thirty shots at 1800 to hit one time is not what I would call whacking it. You do know what happens to a bullet when it goes sub-sonic? Have you seen the results of the 2k championship shoot this year? I did not see in CM on the list. There is a reason.

I sure do on the subsonic, I dick around more than most. Are you sure that the first 29 of those shots could not be considered sighters?
Trust me, I know full well what a cartridge I shoot is capable of, on calm and windy days. This past summer I threw a few 6XC with a 110 sierra going 3080 at 1850. The bullet was more than stable, but after 5 I gave up knowing it was not going to happen that day. Maybe not any day, a light bullet losing speed drastically at those distances quite susceptible to slight changes.
I followed 2K, thought about going, shooting a 7 saum, knowing full well Jupitor would need to align with Mars and hold still for 2 days.

well, yeahhhh.... it's actually a "tree-aydee-tree man-yumm" but I din' wanna' soun' racis' LOL :)

Yeah, I think you got it down...........could come in handy should you ever pursue a career in a Mexican auto parts store. Ya think they have Auto Zone down there?

Maybe he’s shooting it like golf. Shoot. Go to where the first bullet hits. Shoot again. Etc, etc. He’d be on in three or four shots.:D

Not sure, rare I care what anyone not a friend is doing, or what they shoot. I've witnessed a 6.5 creed hit at 1650 with authority, no reason to think 1760 not doable. I read on snipers hide guys hitting a mile, no reason for me not to believe someone, or question it.

Sorry. I was thinking about the guy in the gunstore without the right base,
