I think that I’m going to sell this one or just the Eliseo. I can’t warm up to the tube chassis. Posting because there are custom stock options available.

I don't see a problem. We use stocks that can be inlet for any action. Custom trigger guards are standard fare. Most mags can be fitted with a follower.

We've been together for over 33 years. There have been ups and downs. The main reason that we've made it and are happy together is quite simple...we are both able to talk out and resolve problems. Newsflash, if you are together for 33 years, 4 states, raised 2 kids, and have 3 German Shorthaired Pointers in the house, you *are* going to have problems once in a while...you'd best have the skills to resolve them amicably.

Of course, it helps that she doesn't gripe about my BJJ, my flying, my shooting, or my field trialing ;) LOL.

How would you solve the feeding issue or perhaps I'm the minority

I might do one in the future. I’ve done some barrel upgrades and some custom stocks. They’re great actions. I like them as repeaters, tho. I have a few single shot customs to satisfy my needs there. I think they’re smooth enough to work, tho.

Just to clarify. I'm asking about a dedicated single shot benchrest rig , not a repeater. Feeding should be as easy as installing a single shot follower? I already single feed all my factory Tikka's on the bench using a sled installed in the mag. I see Mcmillan offers stocks with the Tikka inletting, but I didn't see it on their benchrest stocks.

1. 6 Norma brass does not eject very well
2. Needs some kind of single shot follower
3. Needs new type of trigger guard
4. Benchrest stock selection is limited to say the least
5. Remington 700 is cheaper

6. Leave it alone!!!

I know nothing about these rifles other than one of their models has a stock configuration that’s looks good for HP Silhouette. When I read the use for benchrest I thought of factors above, but mostly I wondered what brand trigger or if factory, who modifies this trigger to make it suitable for bemchrest.

There are many gunsmiths that could inlet a stock blank with the proportions of a Panda for the Tikka.

My question would be about the action’s tolerances as compared to a custom. If you had to start all that mess, you might as well buy a custom.

Manners has a Tikka chassis that would work with their stocks. I almost got one.

That first picture posted is a Manners tactical/hunting stock. It’s awesome for that application. Fit like a glove. But I don’t think that Manners makes short range BR stocks.

The Manners, btw, has CDI bottom metal. If you buy the stock and bottom metal from CDI, they put in the bottom metal for free.

Mine shoots great. I’m going to sell off that Eliseo chassis and put that barreled action in a Manners.

The fact that McMillan shows no Tikka inletting for their BR stocks is the first clue. Serious BR shooters use nothing but custom actions and single shot solid bottom actions at that. They have moved way past using mass produced hunting actions for BR rifles. Competitors are a frugal lot; if hunting actions would be competitive, they would not purchase high dollar custom ones.

For your stock ! Master Class is just Wonderful to work with .( he copied a stock for me ).

Doan Trevor makes stocks to order. I would think he would do a fowler for your feeding problem ??
