Here is the info. 6br .272 nk. 1/8 tw. 108 berger bt. br4 primer. Lapua brass. jam 5 thou. 300 yds. 29.5 gr RL-15. Set up on solid front rest. 5 shot each target. Anybody have a clue about the one flyer on each target?

How are you priming? I switched from priming on the press to hand priming and that helped eliminate fliers. Also are you measuring concentricity? Are you expanding with the expander ball or seperate expander mandrel? Do you sort by seating pressure? Annealing?

Hand priming. Not expanding with ball. Use redding FL with bushing. Necks just touched up. Not sorting by seating pressure. Don't have the set up for that. Anneal every 3rd firing. Neck tension about 2thou, but is not consistent. Could nk tension throw you off that bad???

if you arent using wind flags and even if you are it is easy to lose a shot to a switch,gust or let up that would cause a shot to get out of the group that far or even farther,,

until I started shooting UBR matches I would have never believed how far just a slight change in wind can cause a bullet to drift even at close range,,

right target was shot today and the flyer was the last shot. First target was shot 2 days ago and i think the last shot was the flyer. Any ideas??

Funny thing is I shot a different 5 shot group at 29.3 gr. Group was larger, but no flyers.

You might try weighing your primers

Set that brass aside for evaluation
Maybe the barrel is BENT

like 22dasher said its gotten in your head and you are trying to will it in the group instead of shoot it in

Don’t want to assume... were you able to “call” the flyers via scope aim point when the shots broke? Otherwise, very nice groups!

Stick with what works.
Anneal every time.
Get a good set of bushing dies so you get more constant neck tension. I use a custom Widden die, made all the difference in the world.

yes...i see TWO three shot GROUPS and TWO fliers on each target.
yes you need to figure what is causing it.
i like the idea of shooting two 3 SHOT GROUPS and see what happens.
