Hornady ELD-Ms, gone and good riddance!!!

All you guys that are complaining about ELD-M bullets not performing the way you want, can't blame Hornady. If you choose to hot rod them and they fall apart that's your choice. Hornady is not going to spoon feed you how fast you can push them. That's your responsibility to find out, then do what is necessary to keep them from falling apart or move on to a different bullet. Some rifles can shoot them faster than yours, so what. There are many reasons why this could happen. Look to your self first before blaming Hornady.

Well i should probably delete this thread soon, seems to be all that it can be.
On the other hand it supports what the Hornadians want, get it removed, give that fool a hard time he will cave.
We know who he is, he was all over this when it surfaced during matches.
So it stays.

Garbage in the garbage. Sad, but true.

pull them out of the trash, put them in a box, find out the shipping I'll pay it,just hate to see it wasted, don't know what I'll do with them ,but I'll figure that out when the time comes,,,

The new and improved paradigm in manufacturing and selling consumer products today is the end user is the R&D department. Make a product, rush it to market and let the first adopters find it's weak points and how to improve it.
It's cheaper that way.:rolleyes::D

But problems from a .284 case? That’s what 95% of shooters have used waaay before the ELD-Match was introduced. Steve, what case is used in “matches” smaller than a .284 that can also shoot a 7mm 180 grain bullet??? C’mon.

Does Berger call its darn good 195-H a “match” bullet, yet, no. They will NOT yellow box that bullet until they know it won’t disappont in “matches”. Thank goodness there’s a place to discuss issues.

Area51....please cram all those bullets and boxes into a medium or large USPS priority shipping box. We have new shooters in our club that will happily use them improving their offhand shooting skills firing at silhouette animal targets. We keep the velocity at medium speeds and they only come apart when striking the critters.

I will happily pay shipping costs. Will send PM if you will consider this request.

Thanks.

That's just wasteful. Why would you throw them all away like that? Are you a child throwing away an ice cream cone after deciding you don't like the flavor? Sell or give them away, recycle them. Do something other than send them to the landfill.
I would give them to you if we were more local. What you need to understand is i really enjoyed trashing them, i would never want any of the people i actually know in real life to be disappointed the way so many of us have been. Purely an elimination of an irritating problem.

That's right, tantrums bring relief. I belong to quite a few long range facebook groups, and a guy in our local group threw his Hornady,<notice I did not capitalize(lol), auto throw powder dispenser out his front door and took a 12 gauge to it. Yup, same thing as here, he was chastised for his behavior, but Milo laughed, a deep belly laugh just like this post, good riddance.

There's a saying that goes along those lines :

' If you can't fix it, ( unpostable verbage ).
If you can't ( unpostable verbage ), shoot it. '

I don't know if you said that as a joke or not, but it is true, I saw it happen with my previous employer. They used to have the best built cars going out the door, but starting in the early2000's more and more of the quality checks were done by the customer, lowering manufacturing costs and raising the costs and headaches for the dealers.

Not a joke. It's the new way of doing business and I'd say it started with the tech companies. Put out bug infested hardware, firmware and software and let the "gotta have" first adopters debug it for them.
Security hole in a website or software? Let the hackers figure it out. They don't get paid, have benefits or workmen's comp insurance. They do it for free.
Having said that, don't think the shooting industry giants aren't doing the same thing.
