2018 NRA HP rules?

I've seen some 2018 rule changes posted here that I thought were official or would be by now but I can't find anything on-line.

Specifically, I told somebody that AR-Tactical is --now-- 15x max scope power but can't prove it. He's putting a rifle together and I don't want to get him in a bad situation. Probably nobody would sweat it but I hate to count on that without something to point to.

thanks

I searched also, can not find any official rule changes posted yet on the NRA website. I would not be putting any scope over 12X on an AR-Tactical rifle for now or face DSQ. (We are seeing cleans with 12X now)

Thanks for the verification.
I'd also hate to recommend buying a 12x now, though.

Are you seeing cleans with 223?

https://www.ssusa.org/articles/2018/4/26/nra-2018-rule-changes/

New Rule: Rule 3.3.3(b) Sights – Telescopic sights, either fixed or variable, not to exceed 15x magnification. Standard metallic, holographic and other tactical sighting systems are also permitted. Laser sighting systems are prohibited.

Thanks but even that says official rule changes make it into the pdf updates which have not appeared for 2018 yet.

That is described as a report to the BoD.

I am looking at the NRA online highpower rulebook and it ends on Page 48.

Online NRA rulebook says:

"Honorary Clubs, Distinguished ................................................................. 74" ?????

it ends on PDF pg 48.

document page 74 is on PDF page 40

Thanks. Had forgotten about the new class of rifles allowed:

3.3.3 NRA Mid-Range (Prone) Tactical Rifle (AR) (PROVISIONAL)

(it would be nice if the NRA came out with a NEW rule book after so many major changes!)

I believe one of our shooters shot a clean with his last month, another has with is 6mm Fat Rat. I have shot some high 190's with my stock barreled R-25 in .243 using a 12X coyote special (circles for the reticle). There are several very nice 12X target scopes for $400-$600 range. I don't think one needs to spend thousands for this game to be competitive. (I believe that is the intent of the rules.)

The 15X scope rule is now officially in the book for AR-Tactical now. It still has different sighter rules for High Power and F-class at 600 yds. Should make running a match with both classes firing at once interesting.

They did get more specific on open rifle front rests!
I,m glad to see your not required to use a bag on your front test. New rule states "The f-open rifle may be supported by a front rest bag". After all the issues I had glad to see the rules now state the requirements.
