Gentlemen, I present... the ".220 REDLINE"

Fredo promised a link forthcoming, but I know he is in the no-internet zone for a bit...chasing gobblers in morning, killing chucks in afternoon.

The one photo i saw was memorable!

It was just a flesh wound, it will buff right out.....LOL...

fredo -

Howdy, again !

Might I ask a couple of questions, Fredo....

- What influenced your barrel length choice ? Rifle balance.... asthetics... adequate performance ?

- Have you already posted a pic of the entire rifle ? I saw a close-in shot of the action in the stock.

- What distance have you chosen for your rifle's " zero " ?

- Do you plan to periodically check the throat area for " wear " ?
Or....will you wait to see if accuracy drops off; before checking ?

" Inquiring minds want to know "

Those SD numbers look pretty good ( IMHO ) !

Whelp...
Backed er off a bit, and still getting this outta the 75 JLK:

So, off to the chuckin' fields I went!
Fired up Ballistic AE, crunched some numbers and turned out my dope was purdy dang spot on, cuz...

went up 4 for 4, @
195yds
512yds
737yds
260 yds

ALL ON VIDEO (stay tuned) :)

The horsepower level of the REDLINE is VERY impressive! Might take a bit to get video uploaded, but it'll be coming...I promise!

Here's what the aftermath of a proper SNERTING looks like when you're running at the REDLINE...

P.S. here she is!

Surgeon 591
Brux #4 @ 27"
Mickey GameScout w/ KMW hardware
KMW DBM
CG Xtreme Mod22 trigger

And I threw the big 5x25 PH on top, for now.
That'll NOT stay, it's too clunky! Will have a legit 3-15 squatting down on that Brux to balance the ergos out how I like em...

(.357, the specs of my REDLINE are nearly identical to my .22-243AI, which has already been hashed out as my idea of "perfect" for ME & how I like to shoot)

Yeah, that’s less than half my come up for that range from a 100 yd zero on my 260 at sea levelish.

What’s your max PBR with a longer range zero at 2300 sumthin’ DA?

I had to laugh....as soon as I saw that beginning of the video, with the two strand going thru it, I recalled the time I shot the wire with my 220 swift on a chuck just to the right of where that one is located...er...was located. What is the likelihood of that???

Man, that place just keeps producing. It felt like I was there. Thanks Fredo.

I thought I felt a tremor in the force the other day. That thing blows a hole! Congrats fredo. I have followed, and will continue to follow your progress.

Fredo-

Howdy, again!

Thanx for the answers to my questions, the rifle pic; and your latest progress update!

Great stuff !!

Very nicely done Fredo,I’d say it was worth the wait.Im glad you have shared all of this with us.I really have enjoyed the trip.
In fact I have just acquired a nice 8x32 scope from a member here to go on my as of yet unfired Tannel built 6x284.It is finally going into the Colorado high country to bust some rock chucks. While not in the same league as your Redline, you certainly have inspired me to bust some ‘chucks
with extreme authority :D
Matt

Appreciate the kind words, gents! More than happy to share, its been a fun ride so far and surely ain't over.
Would like to hash out the 69 TMK, 70TTSX, and 75 VLD as well, if only to round out this experiment....

In the meantime, here's victim #2 @ 512yds. Same farm of snert's, that place is awesome!
Make sure you're watchin' in 720P HD & note how flat the vaportrail is! The meat report is rather impressive too, as is the aerial helicopter impact. Picking a 8-10lb. chuck up outta the clumpy grass & throwin' it is no easy task...not to mention @ 500+ :D

Will try my hand at editing the next two vids, gotta figger out how ta add in some 'slo-mo' replays...:)

Flat out laser!

I dialed 2.5 mils UP from a 100yd zero
(That's INSANE, btw)

DA was 2300 sumthin', mid 70s
I just looked on my calculator and I dial that at 430 yds for my .308 with 185 juggs. Not running it real hot though. For the 123 gr in the Grendel it's 410 yds. Not running it hot either. Anyway you look at it that is impressive. You need to call it the Redline Laser. Wish you could video shooting a coyote or a hog with it. Crow would be nice too. LOL

Fredo, that's sick! You're my hero.

Nice work!
