Hey now. Good thing I have my therapy poodle next to me. I’ve heard of those I think. They seem super easy. I have a Rcb s bench priming tool so I use the tubes.

with the rcbs AP loader theres a tool where you load your own strips , course you can spend more on the preloaded ones,,I'm cheap,and you can use anykind of primer,,any make

I assume most hand priming tools have a flip tray. I have the RCBS hand primer and it's tray is a flip tray.

Again have you guys been sniffing solvent. My RCBS primer tray has grooves on the bottom so all you do is hold the full primer box that they come in against the tray empty into tray, now put them on flat surface and shake them they will all turn up the same way, now put them in the tub!

i totally didn't know about primer flippers!!! i probably have one. i've always had the cci's you just dump them out. i thought they were all like that. and I meant future "readers" didn't want to waste anyone else's time now that i know the best kept secret in the gun industry, PRIMER FLIPPERS!

When I am reloading at home or the bench for my benchrest rifle, I use the nice little RCBS square one that fits in my toolbox. When I need a MAN'S primer flipper to load up 4 or 500 at a time into primer tubes for my progressive presses, I use the 6" diameter aluminum machined spiral flipper which I got from Star machine works about 30 years ago.

Back when I was shooting a lot of pistol, I had several Star Loaders with a several different caliber heads. One was a 223 Super Star Conversion, which preceeded the Dillons. Star machines were highly accurate, precision machined loaders, and Star even did their own castings in the back yard of their shop. They made the 6"diameter aluminum primer flipper with a spiral groove, and being aluminum. it would not spark, or collect static electricity. I typically threw 300 or 400 primers in the flipper, and loaded a lot of tubes. I had a Auto Indexer and a Hulme case feeder on my Star, and I could load pretty quickly.

The problem with a Star (or a Berdan) loader was that once there was a screwup, you had to index the stages backwards and take out the cases, one by one. Dillon realized this was a flaw, and designed the removeable pins at each station, so the cases could be removed form the station where the problem existed. I believe that Dillon started by manufacturing the "Super Star 223 Conversion". I used to buy every Star loader or Star part that I could find at the gun shows. They showed up frequently at Tulsa or Houston. I eventually sold all my Star stuff, and converted to Two Dillon 550's, one set up for large primers, and one for small primers.
