How to sort federal primers, seems ridiculous

I was going to start reloading 223 and I bought federal small primers for the first time. They came in a pretty big box and they’re all packaged separately sideways. I need to get them into my Feed tubes but it seems ridiculous how do you get them all out so they’re all on the same side. With my CCI primers it’s easy most of them face one way or the other and you just turn them upside down in our primer tray. Am I missing something here is there an easy way to do this?

I'd boycott them for causing this dilemma. Dump them in a shoebox lid. BTW Remingtons are side-saddled also.

I have a Lee hand priming tool....the trays also work great as a primer flipper.....I suspect most handheld priming tools have a similar tray setup....You might have one on hand too.

Thanks so much. I did a search Before i posted for “primer sorting”. No need for any further comments from future leaders

And I’m going to boycott Starbucks not federal

i totally didn't know about primer flippers!!! i probably have one. i've always had the cci's you just dump them out. i thought they were all like that. and I meant future "readers" didn't want to waste anyone else's time now that i know the best kept secret in the gun industry, PRIMER FLIPPERS!

flip tray man. you can buy cheap plastic ones that work fine. the dillon brass ones work real good. all the tray type priming tools have them built in- just kinda shake back n forth and they easily flip over. put he box upside down over the tray and slide it open one row at a time. theres always an easy way!!

The best kept secret are the instructions for a primer flipper.
In 50 years I have never seen instructions for one.

I think after reading these answers my 'flipper' tray may be one of the few things that I originally bought when I first started reloading around 1964 that I still have and use. I wonder how long it takes for those ridges to wear smooth?

Hey now. Good thing I have my therapy poodle next to me. I’ve heard of those I think. They seem super easy. I have a Rcb s bench priming tool so I use the tubes.
