I went from an annual member to a Life member when Obummer was running in hopes of keeping him out,
I went from a life member to an Endowment Life member when he was running a second time, in hopes of keeping him out.....
I went from an Endowment Life member to a Patron member when Hitlary was running, because I damn sure didn't want her in there...... and now,
I guess I have to up it to a Benefactor member to help fight off the stupidity and emotionally based legislation coming at us now......

I guess in the next week or two, I'll be sending in some money. I hope they use it well!

I said I was going to do it and I did it. Just got off the phone with the NRA..... upgraded to a Benefactor member. It felt good, although the woman on the phone couldn't tell me where the gift jacket was made. I hope it is made in USA so I don't feel the need to send it back. On a side note, I also called the GOA and the SAF and unfortunately talked to a couple of people that weren't very "educated". Couldn't answer a couple of basic questions about memberships. I'll probably join those organizations as well.

Im at turkey point nuclear in homestead and some days im at stock island in key west. Ill be going to fort myers in about 2 weeks for maybe a month then sanford til may then off til oct and back to sanford. Inbetween these jobs ill be in indiantown, port st lucie, ft lauderdale and west palm and possibly slip by ft drum and st augustine. If those hit close let me know. PBI is always a hotspot just like EYW. My driving habits have changed in the past few days so the rental company may cut me off soon. Followed a muddy ass truck into a free gas station carwash today. That black amg paint was too shiny.

I was just down in big pine key. Been driving through the night to sneak through homestead and Miami traffic. The damage down in big pine key is still pretty devastating in parts. I'm sure they will keep you busy for a while down there.

Ive been in homestead and key west since the hurricane on and off. When i got here the hurricane was still in north florida. The damage is pretty much clear now compared to then. I was in big pine then and they were asking us to give what fresh water we could to the key deer- the storm surge messed up their drinking water. The insurance companies were giving away boats if you would get them out of the street for them. It was pretty sad. I was able to go down before the residents could go back and it was devastating to see.

My friend has a house on the canals down ships way lane. He said the marina / store right across the street was where the boats were all on the road, which was what was on the news. Crazy stuff. He showed me a few places the boats were still tied to the docks but parked out of water from the surge. Still a couple campers on the side of the road that were ripped apart heading down towards key west.

JRS you and I have gone round and round before, but this is about our gun rights! I have never in all my years of shooting have heard the NRA condone shootings of any kind unless it was in self defense. Or is it because they're helping Politicians that stand up for the Second Amendment?
Why is it people always blame the gun, not the person that is doing this crap.
Kind of like not all muslims are like that, Well when are we going to get the same treatment. NOT ALL GUN OWNERS ARE LIKE THAT?
Leave honest law-abiding citizens the hell alone. Go after the bad guys for once!

Exactly!!!! 8 out of 10 news stories today are talking about banning guns....the other 2 vaguely mention something about the shooter who actually caused all of this!!!!

My wife and I are both life members of the NRA. We are both active shooters. Today the NRA is under fire for no real reason. My NRA is about gun safety, education, hunting, and perusing your constitutional RIGHT to bear arms.
The propaganda press and anti gun forces once again are teaming up. They are going after the companies associating with the NRA. The facts of the case not supporting they're argument, but they are going full speed ahead anyway . Don't forget George Soros, Bloomberg, the press and 95% of the liberals are funding this effort. They have billions behind them, we don't. Our 2nd amendment will disappear, if we don't stand together. Please if you can find the time and a few dollars show your support for our gun rights. They will never stop so we can't either. I will refuse to do business with those companies. My dollars will go to the NRA instead.

Without the NRA, I doubt we'd be able to effectively own guns.

In Connecticut-
* 2014 law permanently banned Armalite type sales/ownership going forward. Previous owners must REGISTER their Armalites.
* a citizen has to register, apply, get fingerprinted and pay a $85 fee to buy a long gun (or have pistol permit).
* a citizen has to register, apply, get fingerprinted and pay a $85 fee, get a permit - to buy Ammunition.
None of this registration is fast, easy, nor cheap. The taking away of gun rights is incremental. Your state could be next.
