OK I GIVE UP..what is a 6BRA ?

i look in the articles saw nothing.
did a search here..no definition lots of talk loading shooting
someone have a pic/print/ description ?
difference from a 6br and a 6 mm dasher ?

It is an improved version of the 6BR with a 40 degree shoulder. Like all improved designs the parent case headspaces at the neck shoulder junction for the fire forming shot. After that it is loaded just like any cartridge, with dies that match the chamber. The A is a reference to AI (Ackley Improved) but not all improved designs were done by Ackley. This one was not, since the case did not exist when during his time.

The middle cartridge is the 6 BRA with the 6 BR on the left and the Dasher on the right. It is a 6mm BR cartridge with a 40 degree shoulder. It is capable of shooting 105 gr bullet ~2925-3000 fps with H4895, Varget, or Re 15 powder. It has the accuracy of the 6 BR and the velocity of the Dasher. Good shooting...James

The TAC 40 is just a slightly shorter version of 6 Dasher, with longer neck. The fireform process is the same, false shoulder. The BR ackley headspaces off the br case and is a very easy/friendly process to fireform. I like both cases, the ease to make cases shines with BR ackley, but the TAC 40 especially with so few shooters has certainly made its mark. The TAC 40 currently holds the F-Class midrange National Record. I only have 3 shooters who actually travel to shoot F-Class matches, and those 3 have earned approximately 15 to 20 state titles to my wobbly South Bends credit. I can now say that I took my only 28" BR Ackley barrel out last week and found a place to chronograph some loads. 31.6 gr H4895 hit 2980 with no pressure, 31.8 was slightly past 3000 fps. This in a .236" bore.

so i listened to all you mt shooters, built a dasher and now you tell me all i needed was a 40* shoulder on 6 br case!.
damn a spent a bunch of money.
 
Just to make sure I'm absolutely certain, .002" to .004" deeper chamber than a typical 6 BR?

I ask because .004" is the tolerance between go/no-go gauges, therefore a typical 6 BR chamber could allow the .004" with no accommodations.

Hold gauge short, not go deeper for resistence closing the bolt on a new 6BR case. Shallower chamber by .002" to .004"
