You are correct Gerald! My experience with Kelbly is that literally everything they make is Cadillac in every respect. And if you need "servicing" of any product of theirs, it will normally be done quickly and at no charge. You can not ask for more than that..

I was at Kelbly's a couple weeks ago and Jim showed me one of these rifles. Very, very nice. The bolt ran incredibly smoothly. If you just tipped the rifle one way then the other the bolt would glide back and fourth like it was floating. As I recall it was a 6.5 Creedmoor. Quite a rig.

Someone mentioned the Black Bear on here just awhile back, but I didn't look into it then. Just judging by the picture, looks like a heavy tang, trigger hanger and possibly an integral rail(?). Integral recoil lug would be a plus in my book, if so equipped. Definitely looks good.

I don't know anything about bad boy cool but I have one of their Atlas Tactical actions and it is the smoothest one in my safe.

When I spoke to Kelbly earlier this year about the Black bear they said it is an all steel melonite Kodiak with integral pic rail and recoil lug, and I think it also come with a beefed up ejector as well as a large bolt knob.
Kelbly did say that MPA might be making a chassis system to fit the Black bear. I will be ordering one of these action as soon as I get some Christmas money rebuilt.

I have two other kelbly actions and have shot a few more every single one has been amazing to run. I am very excited about this new line. Also as previously stated they are a top notch company with the peoole to match.

I believe that all the new aluminum actions have a built in recoil lug now. It makes them shoot noticeably better then the old generation.
