I have a confession to make

Im addicted to guns and shooting. My wife told me so.

My wife hit me broad side outta the blue, brought it to my attention, and told me I have a problem.

It went something like this:

"You dont need another god d*** gun! you have plenty! All you wanna do is spend time in your stupid gun room, doing stupid gun crap! And go shoot stupid competitions. Your so addicted, and always on those stupid forums."

and that was it... (note no conversation dialogue for me...there was none...) next day its like nothing happed.

yall that are married too cant tell me you've never had that kind of experience in the house! And they wonder why we like going to deer camp with the guys and hunting so much... lol

Its like once a month... hmmm... I get my azz chewed out for doing nothing.... and sometimes because I did nothing... Now we are prego and shit dont just hit the fan, it hits every wall in the house too!

Its eye opening and wow's me... its like honey... all that yelling just because you spilt water on the counter?... Women are so different then men its mind boggling..

It is best that you show your true self and stand by your woman. So, in an effort to help, I suggest you just PM me with a list of bullets, brass, equipment and guns you are going to sell to me for about 30% of what they are worth (otherwise your penance is insufficient) and lets get on with it.

Looking out for you,

Snert

Boy I must be really lucky.
When we met she had 1 pistol. Did not know where the mag for it was.
Now she has at least a dozen or more.
No ,more than a dozen, mostly long guns.
And has out shot me with my guns LOL.
This is #2 wife. The first was a liberal nuff said on that on that mistake

its one big reason i havent been married and im an old man, however there are good parts of marriage i know im missing out on--after i think about it a few days i will remember what they are:D:D

Sorry Guys, I can't relate. My wife (the one and only) of 53 years doesn't say a thing about my guns. Figures it's better for me to mess with my guns and ammo stuff than be out hitting the bars and girls. And I agree, 110%.;) And remember those two little words. "Yes Dear". Works every time.:D

same here, mine bought me a 22-250 varmint rifle for our anniversary , once I talked about selling 1-2 rifles and she FIRMLY!! informed me selling any rifle is a bad idea. she's a great shot too. just blessed I guess :)

My wife used to get angry and say "you spend all your f**king time loading artillery just to poke holes in cardboard". Now that I have taken on a large project that requires nearly all of my waking time, cutting out most of my range excursions, she has changed her tune. She now says that she understands why I shot so much, it has a calming effect on me, similar to drugs that other folks indulge in. She believes that I am so serene after a trip to the range that she is constantly urging me to get out more often and resume my old ways. She has stopped complaining about the sums of money, encouraging me to spend as I feel necessary. We even have conversations about lathes, tooling, and barrels. What a turn around. May I suggest that if your wife gives you grief over the time and expenses involved, let her see what you are like to be around after a few months of doing without. It has worked wonders in my household.

As much as we like to be dudes and gun slingers. If there is a problem with the spouse don't let it stew, with the significant other. Work it out, because if the significant other decided that it something that can't be resolve or someone decide to take a position of non negotiable. Well....if she decided to leave she will take half of what you have including the guns. My 2 cents FWIW.

I get the exact same lecture . I think they all go to a secret class somewhere to learn the "mental judo" they try to use on us. Remember that they are emotional creatures. Logic doesn't work with them. As mentioned above: Flowers and attention. Even after all her complaining, she bought me a Golden Eagle for Christmas last year.:)

I'm also a card carrying member of this club, but I consider myself lucky. As long as I keep bringing home certificates or medals she lets me slide. It's my "therapy". My only hope is that when I've moved on tho that range in the heavens my wife dies not sell my guns for what I told her they cost to acquire or make them.
