How do you think that "iron" sight mounts stay on a center fire rifle?No...
Number one the rimfire tuner slides on over the 22 barrel and is tightened down down with a compression slit with an a allen head screw. A centerfire would probably blow it right off.
As has been mentioned, they slide on the barrel. They can slip under recoil and create problems. Do yourself a favor and get a tuner designed for and threaded directly to your cf barrel. Will a Harrell's tuner for rimfire work on a centerfire rifle?

The reason I asked is that I do not have any barrels threaded at the muzzle and I was thinking of trying a tuner on my 6BR or 6XC without the trouble of getting the barrel threaded. Keith, is yours threaded or clamp on. JimJim, Are you interested in a tuner for one of your F class rifles? I can meet you at the range some morning and you can see how mine operates and mounts. Look around. Of all the tuners, brakes, flash hiders, and suppressors for centerfires, do you know of one that clamps on? There *is* a reason. How do you think that "iron" sight mounts stay on a center fire rifle?
Nope.. but then again.. iron sight mounts aren't threaded onto a barrel and they don't go flying off either if properly affixed.. Mine is attached with two set screws, it hasn't moved one bit!Look around. Of all the tuners, brakes, flash hiders, and suppressors for centerfires, do you know of one that clamps on?
