Cleaning a Harrell's Tuner

About? My DiOrio is .74. I made the end of my rod .67 (arbitrary...I just turned it til I liked the way a 3" patch fit) so, for a Harrell's .625 minus .07=.555 for the business end with a 3"shotgun patch? Thanks Lee.

Gerry
Gerry,
If you can wait till tomorrow, I can measure the mandrel I use to bore tuners. that is a press fit to inner bore of a Harrell's.

Cleaning them can be a pain not to mention that the impact and accuracy change when they build up with dirt and lead, I was thinking about boring mine straight through so that the crown of the barrel is even with the tuner so I would never have to clean or adjust it again.

I just started making these. They work well with a patches. I'll post them in the classifieds as soon as I'm able to
I tried mine tonight. It works very well. I like it better than the PQP aluminum one I have. The indentions at the end allow for more cloth material on the sides. I like to use old cut up t shirts for the tuner and the PQP won’t allow any material on the sides.

I made my own with a .58 caliber blackpowder jag attached to the end of a short cleaning rod with a handle. I use 2 3” square patches with hoppes #9 turn the patches over and use a 2nd time. Another set of patches and all cleaned up
